I sailed to this restaurant last Saturday(9÷26÷15) and the service was friendly and prompt. The food was very delicious and my guests and I were very satisfied with our meal and our waitress. I highly recommend this lovely Restaurant.

This place has so much potential but I believe more effort needs to be put in. First off the prices are ridiculous and don’t match the service or taste of food. Steak dinner for two with a drink each and tip $ 170 that should be expected at an official steak house not an average restaurant like this. Drinks… The margarita was pretty good but $ 14 for a margarita at a place like this pretty excessive specially when they are using well tequila. A premium restaurant with premium prices should use premium liquor. The wait… Certainly excessive the place is usually empty at least the couple of times I’ve been there why does it take so long to whip up a couple of steaks? The staff… Pretty friendly nothing special nothing negative to mention With better prices and improving the kitchen staff to work a bit faster this place can be much better. We sat outside and the water from the bay smelled pretty bad but it’s the first time it smelled from the times I’ve been there not a huge deal but worth mentioning

Came to Boca on a whim. After reading the horrible reviews I thought we may get lucky. This was not the case. Basically sent two dishes back because they were not what we ordered. We sat there for an hour and a half and after asking the waiter and bussers and anyone who came close to our table for a refill it never happened. What seemed to be the owner just stands at the front door and basically watches his ship sink. Then when we had enough. We just asked for the bill for the food we ate because we were done waiting. Then they had the nerve to charge us for food that they put it wrong and we never ate. After I had that fixed we paid the bill and left. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISPLACE. It’s a shame because it’s in a nice location and pretty. Just not a place to go if your looking to actually eat.

First time there for my 15 year old and I. We sat inside to escape the heat. There were a lot of flies inside the restaurant. The food was good but over priced. We needed to ask to have our water glasses filled more then once(we were the only two inside). My biggest complaint was the gentleman who was the bartender and used the F world each and every time he spoke. We will not return Carols thank you for your reply. My daughter and I had dinner inside the restaurant on Saturday August 15 at approx. 5:45 pm

I saw all of the negative reviews and they seem to be correct. Singletons at Tappann Beach had an hour wait so decided to try Boca. When we rolled up there were only a few cars in the lot… A showing sign of what was to come. The three of us all ordered common drinks. The waiter came back and said that they had none of them! We ordered an appetizer and three main courses. An hour later they all came out together… The calamari looked like it was nuked in the microwave. My friend and I ordered French fries with our meals and we received yucca fries instead. 4 vodka clubs came out to over fifty dollars and they are small. The waiter was nice but he went missing and didn’t have enough knowledge of what the kitchen and bar had. Not coming back here for a longg time. Wait til next year(if they’re still open) to try this place.

Not a one star place at all last night. I was concerned when I saw the recent reviews, but after arriving and drinks being served quickly by our waiter Michael, I thought it might be fine after all, and it was. We sat on the deck on a beautiful Blue Moon night and there was a dj and Latin crooner providing the music backdrop. We ate octopus and calamari for appetizers which were delicious and served timely. We had paella and chicken tacos for our main course which were well prepared and tasty. Our overall service experience was excellent and the food was very good as well. We will be back.

I was at the restaurant again I thought perhaps by now they got their act together however they had not changed for the better! I ordered their $ 49.00 dollar steak told them medium and it was delivered well done! Also the meat was not prime! The shrimp for 16 dollars was also cooked too long it was like a rubber and no sauce was provided Overall I was extremely dissatisfied and I know my guest were not satisfied as well. After giving them three trials I will not go there again!

Sorry Boca. I had high hopes for you from day one. But the other reviews are right. You can’t get your act together. Loved the food from the beginning and the location is great as we know. There are lots of servers but they can’t figure out how to get someone a drink because«there’s no waitress for that area». Please figure to out. We would be happy to frequent your restaurant/bar but you need a big fix before we come back.

The food is great but service is so slowwww. They need help and better music. Until they hire more people and update the music I won’t go back. Too bad would like to see this place do well.

I see a lot of negative reviews… apparently a big staff turnover the last couple of weeks. We had fabulous service! Bendito was fab at the bar. The food was Awesome! The mussels are outrageous. I highly recommend you give it a try!

Have gone to Boca a handful of times, and the last time is likely the last. We were rooting for them As the location is fantastic, and the concept has worked elsewhere(if anyone has been to Bar Taco in New Rochelle… this type of restaurant would be a knockout if Boca pulled it together!). We came via boat for lunch, which according to their hours begins at 11:30. I was with my husband, party of two, and there was only one other table seated a group of approximately 10 – 12 who were there on their lunch break from work. We sat down and were brought chips and waters, but then no one ever returned with menus or to take a drink order for 20 min. We were hoping to grab a quick bite and get back on the water. We then overheard the waiter tell the other table the kitchen wouldn’t be opening for another 15 min despite it being about 12:30/12:45pm at this point. Nobody ever came to our table to tell us this. We got up and left(still never having received even menus). As we pulled off the dock we noticed the other table, group of 12, also left… after all their lunch break was likely almost over! We’ve been forgiving hoping a new restaurant could pull it together but this was the last straw. While the location is great, the patio is still in need of some overhaul… there are what looks like indoor couches outside in the elements, and when you come up from the dock a lot of hoses/wires one could easily trip on. Perhaps the summer months will get them through, but I’d be shocked if this place remains open. In desperate need of better management.

Firstly, my partner and I called an hour before we arrived and asked if the restaurant would be comfortable with us bringing our dog for outdoor seating for brunch. They said yes without a moment’s hesitation. Okay, cool, we were off to a good start! When we arrived we were seated quite quickly(to be fair, it was empty save for maybe 4 other groups). An older, dark-haired man by the name of Adriano was our server. Something was definitely off right from the get go. I am not one to judge what people do in their personal time as far as recreational habits, but he seemed very ‘out of it.’ From his own confusion about the menu/pricing, to the dark circles under his eyes, to having to repeat my order 3x/point to the actual words, to his BEYOND slow delivery time with our drinks, something was just not right. 1. I ordered the chilaquiles(a simple, but delicious dish my mother made for me almost every weekend growing up). Traditionally, the dish is served meatless, although variations do exist. Ten minutes later Adriano returned in his perpetually confused state to double check that I ordered my dish with chicken. I have not eaten meat in 5 years now, so I asked for no meat, and if a vegetable substitution was possible. This didn’t seem to be the least bit of an issue. Quite a while later a young guy(who we never saw again) brought us our dishes. To my shock my dish was topped with both sausage and bacon. He seemed genuinely apologetic and quick to amend the situation, and soon my dish returned meat-less. Unfortunately, there was no vegetable substitution as I had initially asked for, but I’m generally very easy going. Some fresh avocado slices would have been a simple enough gesture, but no worries. Things then started to get very strange. I took 2 – 3 bites of my food, but goodness, was it spicy for a breakfast dish! I really tried to eat it, but had to pass it off to my partner who LOVES spicy food. His reaction was the same as mine– just too much spice — and not enough actual flavor — for a morning dish. Additionally, chilaquiles is a dish served with generous amounts of ‘crema’ and ‘queso,’ but there was just a few sprinklings of both on top. When Adriano finally returned, he asked how our food was. I told him of my genuine disappointment with my dish, mainly the fact that there were two types of meat sitting atop it. He became quite defensive and stated, «Well, they didn’t even want to make it for you without meat.» His rudeness was, without question, so blatant and disgusting. His attitude became vulgar. Then he told me «Oh, they didn’t actually make it for you wrong, someone at the end of the line must have just SLAPPED it on there on top.» Yes, those were his words. «SLAPPED it on.» Having myself been in the service industry for 6 years now, I could never even think of speaking to one of my customers, the people I am there to serve, in such a manner. Then, instead of making up for the situation, he only became more rude. He half-heartedly asked to get me something else. When I suggested a dessert go, he just asked me what I wanted rudely. Seeing as it was my first time at Boca, I had no idea what they offered. Several minutes went by, he then returned and belligerently attempted to explain something about how if he offered me dessert as compensation I would be getting both main dishes for free??? From what I understood, he was stating he didn’t understand how to enter in the dishes into the computer system in order that we would be charged the correct price. Once again, being the easy going person I am, I decided to let him off easy and let him know not to worry about dessert, and that he should simply remove my portion from the bill. The rest of my interaction with Adriano was, by all accords, the absolute worst service I have ever received to date. I thought perhaps he would try to half-heartedly apologize/laugh off the situation and his genuine ineptitude. Instead, he suddenly became very rude and in a rush to have myself and my partner leave the table. He began speaking very quickly in a flustered/overwhelmed manner. He then informed us that we were done drinking and he would bring us the check, neither of which were requested. Unheard of… absolutely unheard of. At this point I decided to just enjoy the view of the water and the sunshine, but Adriano returned TWICE to see if we had signed our check, and made«pretend gestures» at being surprised we had not signed yet. Tacky tacky tacky. All I could do at this point was shake my head in disappointment, tip him way more than he deserved, and thank him for trying. All in all a terrible experience.

I can’t say anything about the food because we didn’t stay for it. They don’t know what they are doing. We waited 40 minutes to get seated and then no one gave us menus until I asked for them. Then no one came to the table. The idea is good, they are on the water, the décor is nice, but I knew we would never get our food. I should’ve read some other reviews before we went.

If only the service and the food matched the view and the décor-but polar opposites. Run extremely poorly, no system in place, food was mediocre at best, but horrible for the price. Sangria is $ 45 for a small pitcher that barely serves 4 people and tastes like JELL-O. Don’t waste your money… something very wrong here, sad because if they had professional, trained, experienced staff and high quality food, they would have nailed it.

This dinner was so bad I thought I was being punk’d. Alas it was just a horrible nightmarish reality. To start, getting a table was clearly too much for the staff to handle, despite the fact that we had a reservation. Finally, upon getting seated, we waited 20 minutes for drinks. In the interim, one of these drinks was made and remade 3 times and was still wrong on the third try. You’d think a Spanish restaurant would know the difference between light and dark rum… apparently not. This wasn’t enough to spoil my night: the wait time however was. Despite ordering our appetizers promptly after we sat, we didn’t get them until an hour and a half later. And at random intervals, I might add. An hour and fifty five minutes after our reservation, we still had no entrees. «Just four more minutes,» our waitress assured us. «The food is worth it.» …it was not. I would honestly describe our entrees as the blandest Spanish food I have ever had. With piles of raw cabbage and a deluge of sour cream, the soft chicken tacos failed to delight or please at the very least. My vegetarian friend made the mistake of ordering the vegetarian tacos(which she actually did not receive. They brought her the enchiladas, but slow starvation forced her to try and consume whatever they put in front of her.) she claims this was the worst preparation of tofu she’s ever encountered. Picture some soggy tortillas loosely wrapped around unseasoned and cold tofu and mushrooms. On top was what appeared to be tomatoes from a can. The only flavoring came from some jalapeño seeds haphazardly thrown in. And on top, we once again had literal handfuls of raw, flavorless cabbage. If you like to eat at a place with lots of cabbage AND exorbitant wait times, Boca is for you. Now if you value good food and your free time, go somewhere else, anywhere else.

Oh the place just sucks ! It actually sucks so bad, I think it’s a front for something else. Food is bland, waiters do not speak English so they hide ! Yes hide ! They have a great location but … It seems to cater to a Latin crowd and that’s all ! It’s very pricey, small portions and the menu seems to be a hodgepodge of everything ! Please close so I can buy the place and make it right ! Thank you new future management

Mothers Day was a wonderful experience at Bocca. The service was efficient, and very gracious. The food was amazing. We had a bit of everything, from Mussels with chirizos to french toast. Every morsel was plated beautifully, and oh so delicious. The view is lovely, the service is attentive and I would go back again and again. Good luck to the new owners… We done! C

I have been here two times. The first time was ok. My husband is a local chef and they recognized him. We were well taken care of. Food was decent. My second visit service was terrible. VERY slow. This place has turned into«If you don’t know the owner/manager you will not be taken care of in a timely fashion»(i guess we weren’t recognized this time. lol). We were completely ignored for 15 minutes upon arrival. Everyone here works at their own speed. I came here with a friend on a Friday night and it was empty(4 tables in the whole restaurant). We waited 50 minutes for our appetizers. We arrived at 8:30pm and left at 10:45pm. The food is hit or miss and the prices are high in comparison to the quality. The room is gorgeous and will probably be a great place in the summer to get a drink. For now, no bueno for Boca. PS– And I totally agree with the tacky blinking neon OPEN sign at the road entrance. What are they thinking?

I guess because they are pretty new they didn’t have a drink menu. When I asked for a cocktail list the response was they had everything… Which I had to google what drink I should order to compliment Mexican food. Only down side. Besides that I loved the food and would definitely be back. Maybe after they get the shit together.
