This is a great sushi place in Glen Burnie. The restaurant itself is very pretty and offers an intimate setting. The menu has a lot of great choices, we have 5 in our party so we went with the boat! It was really cool and can with a lot for only $ 50 something (2 special rolls and lots of fish!) they also served us miso soup, salad and an extra roll that we did not order, which was really awesome! The food was fresh and very tasty. Sadly the server was a little unpleasant and hard to wave down, she gave us our check and we paid but then decided we wanted desert. The fried banana and cheese cake is pretty amazing YUM.

Sushi was yummy. The place itself was nice, not crowded, good service… I ordered the Twin Tower roll & the volcano. They gave me a free half roll of the garden roll (sweet!), which was also quite good. Wasn’t that expensive either. I will totally be back here again.

I love this place! Great prices for sushi. Always fresh and delicious. Employees and friendly and courteous. Service is always excellent. I’ve ordered takeout and dined in and always have a good experience. Highly recommend!

Really good sushi. I’ve been to many sushi places in the last few years and this place is quite good. Plus the prices are pretty decent.
The special rolls were yum and the regular rolls were also pretty good — fresh, good flavor. The California roll was odd and wouldn’t order that again, but everything else was quite nice.
We also had the BBQ squid which was surprisingly very good. Will order it again.
Will be back!

Stopped there this afternoon to get some lunch. They were closed. There is a small sign hanging next to the door that says Monday through Thursday they close from 2:30 to 4:30. Its bad enough that the place looks like its closed all the time anyway.

Yama Sushi is a great sushi restaurant. The service is GREAT. Attentive and nice, seated right away even during lunch hours. Some of the chefs will talk to you at the bar and they’re always so courteous — no difference when it’s slow. Same quality service every time.
They have unbeatable lunch specials and great sushi roll prices in general. Aside from their lunch specials, their other rolls are equally as delicious. Most of their rolls are good, however some are just okay. (Hence the 4 stars and not 5)
But overall the service is phenomenal, the chefs are great, the food is good and the prices and specials can’t be beat!

My husband and I tried Yama tonight for the first time. Very friendly wait staff, delicious sushi (with SO many options), and great prices! They even surprised us with a complimentary roll! Cucumbers were great too! We will be back :)

We eat here all the time so its time to give credit. Yama is really good! price, choices, service are all excellent. they always tempt us with a free item (a roll or slice of green tea cheese cake). You wont be disappointed.

I enjoy eating sushi all over… used to go to Annapolis for sushi but., I found golden place in Glen Burnie., I know this isn’t the area where you would think of get sushi., BUT., trust me., it is as good as Joss or Tsunami. Ambiance is good. Clean. Service is excellent. If you love sushi.,
Try this place. Try love boat for two., it comes with complimentary sushi rolls, salad, and dessert.

Hubby and I both were craving sushi so we made the drive to Annapolis. Instead of hitting up one of the downtown spots, we found this place and hesitantly gave it a try. OMG. So good!
We had the dinosaur egg for an appetizer and decided to split the Love Boat (15 pcs of sashimi, 15 pcs of sushi, choice of 2 rolls). The love boat came with miso soup and salad with ginger dressing. The sushi arrived at our table when we were finished our soup/​salad. Everything was delicious. The Love Boat comes with a complementary piece of Green Tea Cheesecake which is fabulous.
We’ll make the drive up again just for Yama Sushi.

This place is great and only a few minutes from my apartment! I have gotten carry out and dined in before. Great experiences with both. Sushi is always fresh and flavorful. Good sized for the price too! They usually throw in a free roll too, which is really nice.

Went here after our regular sushi bar was closed, and was so happy to discover another great sushi place in town. We started with edameme before ordering so much sushi, you practically had to roll us out of there. We had the rainbow roll, spicy tuna, salmon roe and eels rolls — among some others. Each was made perfectly, and the service was awesome. The price was just right as well. Like another reviewer there was a free roll with our order, and it was a nice touch.
Definitely recommend!

The place was hot. The seats are uncomfortable. It’s noisy. Ordered sushi and pork katsu, hot tea. The server was polite and so are the teppanyaki staff. By the time I got the food… I realized this place is a good place to get smashed. The not so special sushi is not bad… The porc katsu is done perfectly… The sake is… Hmm too hot.
Pros: staff is super friendly, food is OK, drink is soso. The fried bananas awesome. The restrooms are clean
Con’s: need new thermostat, it’s noisy… But could be fixed by just just elevating the dining area. Uncomfortable seats.
I would definitely come again after they renovate. It’s a perfect place to drink some sake with friends. You definitely need the sake if you dine here.
