Found this bar in early December when I was invited by a couple friends. Since my first visit I really like the place. The servers have been fantastic. The draft beer is very cold. We love going there to play a little pool. Page, Ian, Lena, Rachael have been helpful and pleasant. The place has many large screen TV’s for easy viewing.

I don’t really have anything good or bad to say about Sidelines. I’ve been there a few times, and it’s always just ‘ok’. The food is… bar food. And that’s all I really need to say about that. I wouldn’t come here for it by any means, but it’s edible if I’m hungry. Prices are decent, though. The inside it alright, it’s clean enough I suppose, but it seems… kind of empty, like there’s too much room for the concept. I’ve been here a few times for football games, and there’s NEVER a crowd, but oddly enough the bathrooms are always gross. So I guess that’s a negative. The TVs are relatively disproportionate, some are huge while the rest are pretty small, so if you’re not there for the focal game, you’re gonna have a bad time. The crowd is as what you’d expect for the area, so don’t go there expecting a classy gathering of respectful people.

Sidelines is located off of E Ordnance Road, it was a bit hard to find a first – gotta go around the bend. Sidelines used to be a hole in the wall where everyone who was underage would hangout/or more like hide. I believe they are under completely new management and the entire inside got an upgrade, literally updated! They now have TVs everywhere, billiards, darts, a DJ, paint night, happy hour, margarita night, keno, scratch off, and live music(on certain days). DEALS: They currently have a lunch special which is from Monday through Friday from 11:00am until 3:00pm consisting of $ 3.00 wraps, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Their Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 11:00am through 7:00pm which consists of $ 3.00 terrapin fries or pretzel bites, $ 5.00 halftime mozzarella or chicken tenders, $ 7.00 wings or big mommas poppers, $ 4.00 rail drinks, and drafts for $ 225, $ 3.25 and $ 3.50. On Mondays they have«Margarita Mondays» and they are $ 5.00 and also $ 9.00 nachos(which are huge). On Tuesdays children eat free and they offer them $ 2.00 milkshakes. On Wednesdays they have a free appetizer with purchase of two meals(between 5:00pm and 7:00pm). On Thursdays they have $ 3.00 off all burgers and $ 5.00 three olive cocktails. On Fridays they have $ 5.00 fireball shots and/or cinnamon toast crunch shots. Their food is your typical bar food; however, I believe it has a bit more quality to it. Also, the bartender named Amy is the best! Ask for her(small blonde), she makes the best drinks!

My pizza tasted like it went from the freezer to a microwave. Nasty. Very large room, awkwardly so. Would not go back.

What a gem! Tucked away off of Rte. 2, you have to look for Sidelines, but it’s a great find once you’re there. We came for the Kids Eat Free Tuesdays, which was so nice. The food was really good, the kids liked it and so did we. The service was stellar, truly. I’m sure we’ll back for kids night, but my husband and I will come for a date night of pool and darts. Sidelines has a yummy and cleverly laid out menu, I would love to see this place be busy on kids eat free nights – a great value, a great alternative to the other Kids Eat free restaurants in the area, as the kids meals at Sidelines include drinks too, so it’s like getting a $ 6 — $ 7 value for free. That’s nice for parents who want to give multiple kids a treat sometimes. We highly recommend Sidelines and plan to be back soon!

Finding a decent place to play pool in this area is pretty difficult, but Sidelines has been the best find so far. The tables play a little slow because of the type of felt they use, but once you get used to it they’re fine. MUCH better than the other local joints with pool tables propped up by beer coasters or with nasty, stained felt. The food is pretty typical bar food — not sure why people are asking for so much more from a sports bar. Could it be a bit better? Of course. But, for the price I’m not upset about it. The service was absolutely wonderful. We had Paige the other night and she was always on top of everything we needed. After the abysmal service we’ve had at just about every single other place in Glen Burnie and Pasadena, it was refreshing to get a server who was great at her job — I’ll be returning just because of her and the pool tables.

This is a sports but unfortunately not a good one. They promote the Ravens games in their ads but today for the opening game I had to threaten to leave before they put the game on the big tv. They had the Redskins game on at first wtf! I’m sorry this is baltimore, you want my money put on my game or I’ll go elsewhere. As for the food it’s pretty good but the service isn’t the best. I now see why other time I’ve been here there wasn’t much of a crowd. Don’t this will be my spot to watch the ravens play. Sorry.

Went for early dinner on a Friday afternoon. I occasionally enjoyed the previous bar that was at this location. It seems like no visible changes were made since the change of ownership. The place looks run down, with wall decorations hanging precariously and worn carpeting. There was an unfortunate smell of mildew as if the carpet was flooded and not dried properly. The food quality is lacking. I ordered a steak wrap and fried«poppers». The steak was not good and I am pretty sure it was beyond the date that it should have been served. The poppers were super greasy and not crisp. On a positive note, the service has been good on both my visits.

So let me just tell you that I normally don’t look for a spot to hang out with in Glen Burnie. I’m usually there for a mission like the DMV, shopping with friends for bridal party dresses or going to Paint Nite parties at Sidelines. You’d never know this place was tucked away not far from Route 2 and 695 unless you knew about it. It’s huge, a big bar in the middle, and lots of room up front to set up easels to paint. We ordered drinks, some people even ordered appetizers, and then got to painting. I always see pictures of my silly friends trying to dig up some sort of painting skills to paint the exact same picture but it’s actually pretty fun :-)

This review is really 2.5 stars. I hope this place survives but some things will have to change. I’ve been here three times and each time there wasn’t much of a crowd. This shouldn’t be because the inside is newly renovated and very nice. Pool tables, a big bar, many large TV’s, and a lot of table seating are positives but I guess no one know about this. I think the lack of a website and the fact that the very large sign outside still has the name of the prior bar which was shut down. The bartenders are friendly and the happy hour specials are good but the food is average at best.

Giving this place two stars is for the service because the food was like a greasy pit! We went for Happy Hour and didn’t really think the drinks were HH prices! And they weren’t even good! Don’t get the Dude Drink! It was suppose to have Mountain Dew in it! It was so nasty! The Big Mama Poppers were hard & Greasy! There was no Chicken or jalapeños in them like menu said! Rockfish fingers were way to much Panko and I serious don’t believe that was rockfish!!! The chicken Flatbread pizza had no tomatoes and Bacon it was Really small for $ 10 I could of went to a pizza place and got a huge pizza for that money! Also got the Spring training Salad with apple cider Dressing it was ok but those mixed greens were all that purple &green strings! They need to use romaine or just mix with some iceberg lettuce! It to was not worth $ 10 the Crab Dip was tasty but no lump to be found!!! The place was very clean and so were the restrooms but on a Thursday HH the place was dead! Not Happening There! I will not be returning! Too many other places I pass before getting there! If you read this you to need to pass up this place and spent your money somewhere Else! Mixed drinks are weak and get this they served me a Pinto Gringo wine and the brand was Barefoot! Really! That’s the only brand of wine they serve! So if you want some Cheap Wine And greasy Food and weak mixed drinks Go on down to the Sidelines Greasy Spoon!!!
