Was expecting the worst when heading in to sell an Ikea sized bag worth of clothes based on reading the previous reviews. However all in all it wasnt as bad as anticipated. They bought most of my items which were brand new with tags and gave me $ 117 for my troubles. Honestly the stuff was probably worth more but i didnt mind as i just wanted it all gone from my small apartment. I didnt have to wait too long for them to sort through it and was in there for about 20 mins tops! I browsed around whilst waiting and didnt see anything worth purchasing. May try the Laurel store next time to see whether they are any more generous.

Not a fan. Guessing my standards are a bit higher than what this store had to offer. Staff is not friendly or helpful.

(I came in just to sell) I was the first person to bring in clothes on a Sunday. The employees were decently nice, or one was and the other girl gave me stink eyes, and they told me 30 minutes. Thinking this was low based on how busy they were, I gave them 40. Nope told another 15. Nope not ready. Overall it took them well over an hour to look at my clothes, many of them designer including a barely worn Lilly Pulitzer skirt. The result? $ 35 for 17 items. Yeesh what a waste of time. Based on what I saw, their clientele is a little more trashy than some of the other locations(I hope). The employee mumbled over some reasons why items weren’t taken which half of them didn’t apply since I saw them taken a stained tracksuit from someone else. They didn’t take any«designer» labels like they claim, but I did get a whopping $ 1.5 for each of my Forever 21 items. The plus side is it’s near a Home Depot if you need to run errands there. That’s the only positive I have.

This is the 3rd Plato’s closet I’ve been to, having visited the one in Honolulu, and Colorado Springs. Came in to buy, and knowing the store was packed to the max, I made sure I had time to rifle through everything. There’s some gems mixed into the cheesiness, but I came out happy, having taken advantage of the Spring discounts going on. DRESSINGROOMS: Can only take 6 items in at a time, but let the workers there know if you wanna start a bin for items you want to buy, they’ll keep it at the register for you. CLOTHESNOTE: Make sure to inspect shirts. I found a lot on the rack that had some make up on them from people takin’ them on and off. TOTAL: I bought 2 pairs of shorts, 4 pairs of pants, 1 tank top, 1 dress length shirt, and 2 short sleeve shirts for the total(before tax) to come out to be 83.50. I had $ 14.50 in discounts, according to my receipt. I am pretty happy with this turn out.

This specific Plato’s location is a complete joke. I brought in 7 laundry baskets filled to the brim with great quality clothing. They offered me just $ 6 and took about 4 or so items. I made the mistake of leaving and having them call me when they were finished. My advice would be NOT to do that here because it was apparent that they didn’t bother to look at everything. I took the same 7 baskets of clothing to the other Plato’s location in Laurel the SAME day and received $ 175. HA! They took at least one basket worth of clothing. Just goes to show that the Glen Burnie location is terrible and not worth going to ever again.

Wait time was longer than expected. Came in with my bestfriend and was told half an hour. Then when we came back we were told 15 minutes and he had look over other merchandise that was just coming in the store! Never again. Go to TOWSON.

Stuffed to the max but if you have patience then you may find a few things. Because it’s so packed, I wasn’t surprised they only took one of my items. Found some good DVDs in the back of the store. All in all, worth a drop in. Friendly employees with decent merchandising. They make the best use of the space that they can with items filling up the room. I just have to be in the mood to even deal with it all.

I went to sell some clothes(4 large trash bags). My friend who had sold stuff a few weeks before went with me and told me they called her when they were done looking at the stuff. When I went in the girl took my info and clothes and said they would call in about an hour. 4 hours later I hadn’t heard from them and so I called them. AMBER answered the phone. She told me it wasnt their policy to call the customers. I told her that I had been told I would receive a call when the stuff was ready. She said that wasnt true because it wasnt their policy. I asked her why they called my friend and she started to get an attitude with me. Then she said they had no record of my studf even being there. When I went in my stuff was clearly marked behind the counter. It still took her a minute to find the stuff. She did apologize but with a horrible attitude. Apparently they entered my name in the system wrong. Before she could even tell me how much money she would give me I asked for my stuff back. She all but threw one bag at me, knocking over a cup of pens. Overall the experience was horrible. Different policies for different people and obviously the all the employees are not on the same page. And the manager will imply that you are the one not telling the truth, loose your things, and then treat you like your the one in the wrong. Plato’s Closet, I suggest you retrain your employees and hire a new manager.

I went in to shop, not to sell, and I had a pretty good experience. Tons and tons of cute, cheap clothing. The day I went, they were having a buy 2, get one free sale. Sign me up! The associates I talked to were all very friendly and helpful. I’ve sold to other PCs before and yeah, you are probably better off going to eBay. I will definitely return to shop though!
