Michaels Eighth Avenue

I had the wedding of my dreams here at Michael’s Eighth Avenue! The staff provided espectacular service. They took care of absolutely everything and everything was on point. The garden, the ballroom, the decorations, the food, the open bar, the service. I LOVED IT! Thank you everyone at Michael’s for the best day of my life! I always recommend this venue to any friends who are wanting to get married. Best choice ever!

We had our wedding here in March 2014 (sorry for the delay in writing this!) and everything was perfect! We actually had horrible weather and Michaels let people in early so they would not have to wait outside in the rain. They took care of EVERYTHING for us– the cake, lighting, linens, EVERYTHING! The staff even made sure we were all packed up before we left. I would definitely recommend this venue, thank you so much!!!

The food for the event I attended was really good. Pitbeef was perfect and fried chicken was fresh out the fryer. I enjoyed the green beans as they were seasoned just right. Oysters were good but I am not a fan off raw. Staff were friendly and the entertainment from the Oracle Band is always a plus.

The garden is beautiful, the staff is generally friendly, they have excellent crab feasts and events throughout the year that are a good value. I’ve been there twice this season and both times they had great live entertainment from a band New Monopoly that played everything we like from oldies to stuff we enjoy that’s on the radio.. We had really good, unlimited food (which is saying a lot when it’s crabs) and danced the night away. Only small negative is that the crowd can get a bit rowdy sometimes, but, I suppose with 400 – 500 people, that can be hard to contain with a packed dance floor and alcohol. We’ve lived in the area since before Michaels has existed (was a skating rink in years past) and have shared memories with many friends there for weddings, anniversaries, and now, with the beautiful garden, we will probably be back to events held out there in the cool months.

Very friendly staff with a huge banquet room. I’ve been to this place for everything from a high school prom to a rotary club crab feast. A little out of the way, but incredibly versatile.
