King’s Shoe Repair & Alterations

I actually had a great repair and decent service at this location. The shop is run by a little old Asian man whose English is fairly broken, and a bit hard to understand. He was very friendly. I brought in my Wolverine 1000 Miles, which had their soles coming off. I had previous taken them in to be repaired at a shop in Charlottesville, but they promptly fell apart. He not only told me exactly what the other cobbler had done wrong but explained what he was going to do better. When I picked them up the soles were well repaired and reinforced. He also shined them and they came out looking significantly better than when I had brought them in. Nordstroms at Short Pump had sent me here, since this is where they get all their shoe alterations done. I think he did excellent work and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has similar problems to what I had.

This shoe repair place was terrible for service and quality! They gave me a date that my order would be ready. Roughly a week and when I came back it had been collecting dust and had not even moved off the shelf??? When they were complete the Vibram sole put on my boot fell off and the cap on the heal to a dress shoe fell off the FIRST TIME it was worn! Absolutely weak!

This shoe repair has horrific customer service and does not care about your return business. After a shoe looked worse than when I brought it in, he said– «don’t come back then if you don’t like». Don’t like? The shoe was at least wearable before! find another place to use
