Great business hotel. Home away from home. The staff are outstanding with special recognition going to the morning restaurant staff. I have stayed here many times and although it is not fancy it outshines most 5 star hotels for comfort. The brand promise of Marriott Courtyard is delivered and this location goes well beyond.

Would not suggest the bistro for dinner. Thought it would be safe for salad… not recommended!

This is my 2nd time staying here on business, in March it seemed very clean because it had just opened… now you can already see it’s not kept up. Carpet in lobby area, halls and elevator is dirty. My room wasn’t clean and I have submitted photos that show the condition of the bathroom. hair in the shower, mirrors not clean, pistachio shells on the floor from the last guest.

Just your typical Courtyard Marriott hotel, which for me is a good thing. Check-in was seamless. The rooms(I had two connecting rooms booked) were all in proper order. I would have given it 5 stars, but the blankets for the fold-out bed were missing, and the desk was unusable in one room because they chose to glue vases to it. The vases had been glued together, as you could tell that other people have tried moving them. It made no sense and is something I haven’t previously seen at any other Courtyard hotel.

Checked in late after a long drive and front desk got me checked in quickly and easily. The room was spacious for a double queen; the beds were comfortable; and everything was clean. Shower pressure was solid and towels were comfortable. Went to breakfast in the morning at The Bistro. Prices were $ and food was freshly cooked and solid for breakfast. This is the standard for Courtyard Marriotts.

When staying in a hotel, the less you have to say, the better! Clean, updated, and everything I expect from a Courtyard. The staff is exceptional and the mobile check-in is a nice option for those of us that want to get to your room and out of work clothes ASAP! Many food choices walking distance or a short drive. When in the area this is my go to home away from home!

$ 89.00 priceline deal 11/25/2013 for 1 night Was given 1st floor room. Bed and TV not aligned, they are at 90 degree angles to save space. Had to pull the TV out to view it from the bed. No microwave in room. No free bfast, they want you to spend $ in the restaurant. Contains restaurant; not many customers outside from the hotel coming to use the restaurant. Extremely limited selection for bfast-dinner; similar to what you would see in a typical room service menu. Better to go across the street to Martin’s market for food. No alcohol sales in the hotel. Pool closes at 11pm because it is too close to other rooms on the 1st floor. Hampton’s Inn down the street is a better deal; free bfast, rooms are about the same. Prices higher for everything than the competition from bottles of water to junk food to restaurant food.

Starbucks any one? They serve Starbucks coffee! Like seriously, walk downstairs, order my usual venti triple shot HM. Go back up and crawl back in the most comfortable bed EVER. I’m still a huge Marriott mattress fan — no other hotel comes close… Well the 5 star rating isn’t because of the freshly brewed Starbucks coffee offered which it should, but this place is super clean, organized and extremely helpful. Meet the bartender/manager what a goofball! What an awesome personality! Another reason why this place is rates 5 stars. Rooms are standard like the rest. Clean, organized, up to par with my Marriott standards lol This hotel is conveniently located by a few restaurants such as Chilis, Applebee’s, O’Charlies I think it is called, a BBQ joint that you can literally walk to. Also has two shopping center with regular stores such as Ross, Micheals, Target, Bed bath and beyond, a grocery store and etc. very good location for a hotel to be.

The room was fantastic. Very comfy and roomy. The place had a great business feel and I felt like a mid level exec. Bed was extremely comfortable, bathroom was great. The TV was stocked full of channels and the room had a fridge. The bar didn’t have beer on tap but they made a decent cocktail and they let us byob so I was quite happy with that. There’s a large variety of restaurants that are around so that you can get a decent meal, wherever you’d like. I recommend Chick Fil-A. That’s just me though. I was there with a group of teachers and I guess we had some kind of «continental breakfast» This was a major disappointment. It was oatmeal, crappy juice and some fruit. No crappy scrambled eggs or microwaved bacon that you’ve come to expect and love from continental breakfasts. I also can’t comment on the price because I wasn’t footing the bill but I rather enjoyed my four night stay.

I had stopped using ‘Courtyard’ a few years back. They were over priced and seemed to be confused about their brand. I am happy to say they seem to have hit their sweet spot, or at least this one has. The staff is very friendly, young and energetic. The amenities are great. The food service seemed a little out of place and slow, but I have to say(and I kind of hate admitting it) the food/breakfast was fantastic. All in all, for a Courtyard, and a hotel in general for the Business traveler, this is great.

This hotel was a great bargain! Ended up booking it for 93 $ with tax during Virginia’s tax free weekend. Definitely worth it! The staff was very polite and got us up to our room in no time. The room was nice and tidy. There was a small couch on the left side of the room as you walk in with a coffee table and mini kitchen directly in front. There was also a desk for work or whatever you decide to use it for. The bed was towards the back of the room, along with the bathroom. It was kinda weird that the sink wasn’t in the bathroom but we made it work. There was also a flat screen television with HD cable(definitely a plus). Don’t expect a million channels but it should be enough to keep you entertained. Wifi was included and the speed was decent. I really enjoyed my short stay here. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfy. The AC was blasting as we entered and thank goodness it was! It was 95+ degrees that day! I would definitely book here again!

The lobby and rooms are recently renovated in the new modern style. The location is nice too with many restaurants and shopping and even a movie theater within walking distance. Not an ideal place to visit Richmond’s downtown areas but a great place to sleep for the night if you have to be on the north side.
