Got to the hotel at midnight, woman at the front desk who looked sketchy asks for my CC to place a hold on the room. Sure fine. I see a sign they are sold out tonight… okay cool at least we have a room, dead tired at this point.
We go to our room and the door is open… weird…we go in and OMG no wonder it was open, it STUNK like an ash tray. STUNK. It was midnight and the hotel was sold out so we sucked it up and slept in one of the worst smelling rooms I’ve slept in. Felt like Marlboro reds were stuck in my nostrils.
I didn’t even get a chance to complain in the morning because no one was at the front desk. Fine, whatever I forgot about it… The real kicker though? I get a call from my credit card company 3 days later for fraudulent charges on my card at some grocery store called Martin’s. I asked them, «hey, where is the location of that place?» Same location as this ashtray smelling hotel. Same town. Better believe I’ll point them to the hotel and give a good description of the receptionist. Enjoy speaking to your public defender.

The Hotel for 1 is nice and clean. That being said it does have flaws. First the pros. The rooms itself are clean and neat. Cleaning staff was nice. However the hallways smelled like smoke. I was on the 3^rd floor and it was strong. Breakfast was decent. Can’t go wrong with free food. Biggest flaw I saw was the exercise room. Nothing worked. The treadmill was way off. I put level 9.0 and barely jogging. The elliptical was wobbly which they did fix but seemed like a temporary fix and only 1 weight pulley worked. Seems like no one had complained about it. I did and they kept saying someone would come and fix it. Which that never did. My problem with this is if nothing works why advertise it? They need to upgrade everything in there. Machines are at least 15 years old. Also the Washing Machine was out of order but I did not say anything about that to the staff. The staff was friendly but did not help fixing the issues I requested.
Beyond that the hotel was fine. I slept in a clean room.

This place is so filthy! Two rooms one with dirty sheets that were just pulled up and the other with hair and filth in the tub that was so disgusting I could not shower.

The rooms are large, and that’s all I can say that’s good. The staff is terribly rude. I got here late, a bit past 4am and woke up less than 7 hours later at 11 to housekeeping slamming on the door saying we needed to checkout. Then the phone started ringing threatening to charge me extra for a late checkout. I haven’t even been here for 7 hours! You’d think a hotel would at least let you sleep a full night after driving for 12 hours. The staff could have easily been understanding and allowed me to get some sleep seems how they had no problem charging me full price for my obviously less than average length and abruptly ended stay.

Stayed here for 6 nights while visiting family in the Richmond/​Glen Allen area. The rooms here are very large with full kitchen and refrigerator. It has a small dining table and desk. Pull out couch and coffee table as well. It was affordable and I am very happy with the service we received.

Stay away from this place if you value personal hygiene, but don’t like abrading your skin into a bloody mess.
With a reservation for 3 adults they gave us a single bath towel. It was a fairly typical, modestly sized, hotel towel. I’ve traveled extensively all over the world and usually there are 3 or 4 of the type in a room, plus some wash cloths and a bath mat. Not here. Just a single towel for 3 people to share.
Fine, not a big deal, just call housekeeping to fix it. Except they don’t bring us bath towels.
Instead they bring specially marked «towels» that are essentially over sized, and highly abrasive, hand towels. They are just big enough to «comfortably» wrap around your upper thigh if you don’t mind the very real possibility of your tender bits being abraded away.
Really, Best Western?

Staff was a bit weird. Not friendly at all. Front Desk was less than helpful. Rooms were clean and decent. We left a very expensive contour pillow in the room. We called half hour after we left to see if housekeeping found it and they claimed they never even saw it. They said they woudl check and call us back and never did.
Not very trusting, so don’t leave anything behind because you will never see it again. Most likely, pillow went to a member of staff’s home that night. Kind of gross but, after all it was a $ 100 theaputic pillow. YOU’RE WELCOME!
