The Irish club holds a special place in my heart. I have met and become friends with so many great and interesting people old and young. It’s great to come down just for a good pint at the bar or on a Friday night to listen to live music and enjoy another pint or two. The younger members usually hang here on Friday nights if your looking for them. You do need to be a member or know a member to come in and join in the craic. The club does have some occasions like St. Pattys Day when non-members can join in on the fun and pints for a nominal fee. They also have live Gaelic Football and Hurling games broadcast from Ireland and non-members can come down and watch those games when they are telecast for a fee of $ 20.00. But, I suggest if you are of Irish decent become a member and come and hangout here on a regular basis and fully join in on the craic. The club has new member screenings usually on the first Tuesday night of the month and new members are sworn in on Friday nights at the member meeting. Every July we hold an Irish Music Festival were you can enjoy irish crafts, food and a few pints & of course listen to some Great Irish Bands. This festival is open to all and the members of the club volunteer to help out with the festivities. The club has also just given the bar a fresh new face with Large Screen Flat TV’s, new flooring, paint, ceiling and led light fixture’s. So my home away from home has a fresh face! So find a friend who’s a member and come on down and enjoy the Craic!

Annually — this organization hosts an Irish Festival weekend. This year it is July 27 – 29. Irish Music, Food, Drink and a tent or Irish of vendors with themed items as well as some carnival like attractions. I have attended this event three or four times with friends. We always enjoy ourselves. It is rain or shine, ample tents to get out of the rain. There are some family friendly activities there as well. There is an ATM on site and many port o lets. This event will continue today and Sunday.

Cheap beers but they need to plow the place and rebuild it completely. If you have ever seen the one in Fairfield, this one will make you laugh. Raise the dues and get a younger crowd.

You will need to attend with a member for the pub grub on Friday nights; the food is good and cheap… but they don’t serve in summer… Friday nights have Irish music in the pub, they know how to pour a good pint of black, too. And don”t forget the Greater Hartford Irish Music Festival the weekend of July 23, 24, 25 this year. a good way to spend the day and night, a midway for the kids, lots of great music, lots of traditional dance and culture, a huge tent with all sorts of Irish crap for sale, and some of the best fair food around, which is all prepared by volunteers from the club. Hands down the best corned beef sandwiches ever!
