Absolutely horrible service. I have a nationwide membership and when I arrived I was quickly informed my access would be denied because I had a «multi-area membership,» whatever that made up membership is. I was told I had to pay $ 5 for access. So I paid. I gave my friend a 3-day guest pass to use. However, he was immediately taken to a desk and asked to choose a package and start up a membership with an initiation fee. They didn’t honor his guest pass. They informed him if he didn’t want to join today he would have to pay $ 15 to workout for the evening. With the ridiculous one time price, he obviously declined. He then approached me before I even began my workout informing me we wouldn’t be able to work out together for the night. Therefore we left. However, before leaving I approached the front desk asking for a refund only to quickly be informed they put my $ 5 in a lock box and couldn’t open it. If I wanted my $ 5 back for a workout I didn’t even have, I would have to return the next day asking the manager for it. Knowing damn well I wouldn’t return, the workers looking at the situation, saw the whole mess as «what’s $ 5 dollars anyhow?» Therefore if you think your guest pass is going to work, I would suggest reconsidering looking for another gym to be a guest at. What an absolute joke. I will never step foot in this LA Fitness again and you shouldn’t either. You can keep the 5.

LA Fitness is one of my favorite gyms I’ve ever gone to, and this location does not disappoint! The have tons of cardio machines(all with their own personal tv’s) and great weight training areas. They also have classes, which is nice to have included in your monthly fee! And truth be told, the monthly fee isn’t to expensive. I would have given them a solid five, because overall you get your money’s worth for sure and the staff is very friendly! The only part I don’t like is sometimes the trainers will walk around and try to get you to do an assessment. I don’t notice it as much as when they first opened, but a few weeks ago a trainer stopped me in mid workout to discuss training. Although extremely nice, I just wanted to get my workout on. But overall, great gym for sure!!!

I have been with LA fitness for three years now. I’ve always gone to the Turnersville location, but started going to Glassboro, since it is extremely close to my home. Since going to Glassboro, I’ve been continuesly harassed by their personal trainers. At the gym, by phone, and even at the local wawa. I understand they probably have goals, but you are driving customers away! I will drive the extra 10 mins to the turnersville club. Very dissatisfied!

I’ve generally had a gym membership to somewhere for the last 20 years of my life. And I’m glad to report I really enjoy this LA Fitness. This location just opened and is a really nice facility. There are tons of brand new cardio equipment, free weights, weight machines and … wait for it… much to my joy and excitement, a pool! The pool is three lanes and I love coming for my weekly laps workout. The cardio equipment all come equipped with TVs and ports for iPhones. The staff is nice. They have paper towels and spray to wipe down the equipment. Warning however, quite a lot of people don’t use it so I recommend wiping down before and after use! They have separate spin and cardio rooms. I wish they had a few more classes though. I find it had to make it to a scheduled class between work and raising a kid. They just added a juice bar. Doubt I’ll ever use it but for those that do… it’s here. My issues are the above stated lack of classes. And that when you sign up, they push hard core for you to sign up with a trainer… and they are WAY expensive. So if it’s something you are not interested in just stick to your guns and they will leave you alone after a few tries.

Bait and switch — not worth half a star. Their website advertises a three-day pass, which I hoped to take advantage of. After having me initiate the process, someone(who I think was the manager) «suddenly» talked to the owner on the phone and said that it wouldn’t be honored because I was a member of Four Seasons and too many people from Four Seasons were using the pass because electric was out. This was after saying that they’ve been honoring the promotion all day. Not only was this misleading, it was also disrespectful of my time after having called them, preparing a gym bag and taking the time to drive to their business. I paid the $ 15 less than two hours before they closed — and it will be the first and the last $ 15 I spend with LA Fitness or any of it’s franchises. If they honored their ADVERTISED special(designed to sell people on the gym, much like a timeshare — after I arrived, I was told it was a 20 minute process,) and IF they practiced good and honest business? I’d have probably joined since the facilities are rather nice. To add insult to injury, I later found out another«guest» was given a one month membership at their monthly rate minus the $ 99 fee they charge when you join. I asked for this courtesy specifically and was denied. So, not only was I handed the classic«bait and switch» of false advertising, I was also denied pricing that someone else received. Now I think I have an idea what it feels like to be discriminated against. I’ll give them a thumbs up for having a clean facility(it was just built) — however, the staff was simply rude and the unethical business practices are enough to justify«one star». Heck, it’s not even«smart business» — I’ll say it: either the owner(s) or their staff are deplorable and STUPID to have wasted an opportunity that causes their competition’s customers to walk into their doors only to find themselves mistreated. Yep, they got my fifteen dollars but they lost $ 360 in yearly membership dues and their bogus $ 99 hidden fee that they would have profited if I was treated well.

Love it there! It is a very nice gym, all new, and has l you need! The stuff is friendly and nice! I haven’t gone to classes yet, but I definitely will! It is totally worth it!!!
