Seriously people? This place is awful. Every bit as bad or even worse as the La China Poblana it replaced. We showed up around 6:00PM… prime time… and were the only people in the restaurant. And somehow the service was still unbelievably slow. They took our coupon but told us they won’t in the future. No problem, won’t be back. Also the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I’m not exaggerating people. I ordered a plate of enchiladas, I was warned that it was hot, no problem. I like spicy food. My plate comes and there’s so much sauce on it it was like soup. And yeah, it was hot… as in not even any flavor just heat hot. Not sure how the place got so many good reviews, since no one eats there. Avoid.

DONOT let the strip mall location deter you. The food in this place is authentic and is very very good. I always get the special platters so that I get a nice variety. Since we got back from Santa Fe, I despaired of ever finding something close. This is it. We go here at least two or three times a month. The only place close to being this good is all the way down in Hammonton.

I tried this place based on the other reviews on here and was seriously disappointed. I got the flautas and the chicken was dry beyond belief, actually hard in some spots, and had no taste. The chips they put on the table before the meal were stale. The waiter was a really nice kid, but the food was terrible.

Very good Mexican. We especially love the chorizo chalupas. The pork and pineapple burritos are very good as well. The chips and tortillas seem hand made and the salsa has a decent kick. Definitely the best Mexican we’ve found in South Jersey, and it is very reasonably priced. It is a bit of a hole in the wall, but that doesn’t bother us. There’s never more than a few people in the place when we go for dinner. I’m hoping they do good takeout business(or maybe lunch business?), because I’d hate to lose this place.

Very good tacos. I am no expert, but I think these are how tacos are traditionally made, no cheese, tomato, or lettuce. Their corn tortillas seem to be hand made in house and are very tasty(make sure you eat them quickly before they get stiff). I wish they had a bigger menu with a bit more variety. I need to come on the weekends to try their tamales. They serve horchata, a Mexican drink made with milk rice and cinnamon which all Mexican restaurants should have.

My first love for Mexican food in South Jerz after 14 yrs in Colorado. I still can’t find green chili out this way, but the food here makes me forget all about it. Tacos are great and very reasonable. I also recommend the Chicken Mole Enchiladas if they have it on special. Order a Horchata while you’re waiting for your food. Its a damn shame that this place is always so empty, so if you go there help spread the word

I HATETHISPLACE. For the sole reason that it is always empty(at least when I come in) and I feel it sends an off-putting vibe to passersby. I LOVETHISPLACE for everything else :) It is a crying shame that they don’t advertise better because they could be a gold mine. The service is very nice, ambience is basic but pleasant, and the food is GREAT! It is authentic mexican food, not tex-mex, covered in cheese and sauce. Just great, authentic food. Tonight I had the quesadilla with chicken, onion and chipotle in it. It was perfectly done, and very flavorful without being spicy. I also had their burrito carnitas(fried pork) — I went a little overboard tonight, but I deserve it after a week of not eating anything due to a wisdom tooth extraction! Anway, we also had the nachos azteca. They do have some cheddar cheese sprinkled on, and tons of avocado. No sauce is added, but they put red and green sauce on the side for dipping — so yummy! We also ordered two tacos and another burrito — all for under $ 30!

Quesadilla and tacos are great! Everything looked good and you get alot of food. Even the coke comes in glass bottles. Highly recommend… neighborhood gem that delivers.

Went there for Sunday dinner a couple of weekends ago. Very authentic. Fresh chips with a black bean sauce and cheese on top, with two sides of salsa. Since it was the weekend, I was able to order tamales. I tried two types of the four offered, along with my all time fave of Chiles Rellanos. The platter was filled with chilie goodness(2) and beans and rice. All homemade. Husband had a taco and an enchilada. Two Cokes and and the bill was about $ 25.00 or less.
