Gladstone Flowers

I called yesterday from New York to have an arrangement send to my mom in Kansas City who is recovering from surgery. I didn’t have any specific flowers in mind, but I did request yellow flowers because my mom loves them. I left the rest up to the shop. I gave the florist my price range and what the note should say. She told me they would be delivered the very next day and she emailed me the receipt promptly. My mom just text me that she received them and sent a photo. I’m so pleased with this arrangement– the colors go together beautifully (I love the dark purple!) and my mom said they made her day! Thank you so much! I’ll definitely be using this shop again when the occasion calls for a floral arrangement.

I’ve ordered flowers from Gladstone Flowers several times when I wanted to send flowers to my mother who lives near by. Most of the time I order a bouquet of flowers but since it’s Christmas I thought I’d order her a nice poinsettia. When I placed my order I was ask what color I would like so I ask if they had any pink or white and was told they did. The poinsettia was to be delivered the next day. Mom calls the next day and thanks me for the beautiful red with sparkles poinsettia, not the pink or white I would have preferred but when you don’t live near by you get what you get. Mom was real happy with the «red» poinsettia so I’m OK.
Will I order from them again, probably I like to shop local when I can & Gladstone Flowers is local for mom.

I have used this florist for over 15 years and have found them to be friendly and helpful. Their arrangements are quite beautiful.
Their prices are in line with other florists.

I had an unfortunate experience with Gladstone Flowers. I placed an order through 1−800-Flowers for a large Pink Lemonade Bouquet for my sister’s birthday (should look like this:
). I ordered the bouquet several days in advance just so I didn’t have to worry about it.
What did Gladstone Flowers do? They sent the arrangement the very next day! Several days before my sister’s birthday. I was very upset that they would not read the invoice and send the order ASAP, making me look like an idiot as if I didn’t know when her birthday was. To make matters worse, the flowers looked NOTHING like what was advertise. They put some ugly greenery, a few cheap carnations, and a few lilies in, but not even a single rose! I paid for a large, beautiful arrangement and got an arrangement I wouldn’t even pay $ 20 for, and it wasn’t even delivered on the right day.
I called 1−800-Flowers and they contacted the florist and demanded that they re-​send the flowers and highlighted for them that there must be roses in the arrangement. Just goes to show you how they will try to get away with anything if they can.
Bottom line, Gladstone Flowers fails. I hope 1−800-Flowers drops them as vendors. If you order arrangements through Gladstone Flowers just know that you have no idea what arrangement or when they’ll deliver it. Buyer beware.
