This place was formally a McQuaids gas station of which closed and sat empty for just over a year. I am happy to say that a local family purchased it and now has it up and running. It is your typical, small town gas station with four pumps while the store has the basic snacks, drinks, tobacco, lottery, instant scratch offs… you know the typical stuff. I have been stopping here for gas and little snacks and/or drinks while I’m working. The staff, of whom are the owners, are very friendly and easy to chit chat with. I think it is important to support the local folks and help them to stay in business. I hope that they will survive of which I think they will. The McQuaids I speak of earlier was there for years but new owners ran it into the ground and were ultimately foreclosed on. I think the new owners will keep that from happening. So I say good luck to them and all mom and pop owned places who are trying to make it in this still struggling economy. I for one will do my best to frequent these places.
