Jib Jab Hot Dog

Great hot dogs and fries, even the breakfast sandwiches are good! Unfortunately the fish sandwiches are meh but everything else is yummy.

oh man I was actually disappointed. Was in town last week for my family visit and we all decided on Jib Jab. Got 10 dogs and 4 orders of fries and a fish sandwich for the family.
After a reasonable wait time considering it was lunch rush on a Saturday, I get my order and head on to the car. Mom drove so as soon as we got on State Street I dug in. Well phooey, it was just warm. Warm hot dogs are NOT good at all. Fries were super yummy as always but was very disappointed this time. Waited til I got to my grandparents and popped it in the microwave.

Great hot dog shop for a cheap hot dog and fries. Look no further if you are looking for some «nasty good» food — «nasty» because it’s absolutely terrible for you and I definitely don’t want to know the ingredients yet oh-​so-​deliciously «good». I personally get a chili cheese hot dog and chili cheese fries. Never disappoints. This place is not a gourmet hot dog place. If you go in with the right expectations, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Eh. Very small selection of hot dogs considering this place is a ‘hot dog shoppe’. I wouldnt say the hot dogs were bad but i just expected so much more from a ‘hot dog shoppe’. NY has a hot dog shoppe with over 30 hot dogs. This place has the generic options plus the option of hot sauce or salsa. And thats it. They serve breakfast. If that’s your thing. But disappointed with the selection.
Service was okay. Felt like i was at 5 guys burgers. If you are looking for cheap dogs you could come here as they have a deal for 20 dogs for $ 15 or so but dont see a point of coming for anything less.

Great place for dogs. Excellent service and reasonable prices. Easy 8n and out overflow parking across the street.

There is something about these dogs! I have been eating here for many years. The flavor is unique. I love the chili and onion. My wife gets the chili and cheese. Fries are delicious!

Ate here on 09÷26÷15. I would say it isnt the best chili dog I have ever had but def in the top of the list. and best of all it was really cheap and surprised how fast the order order came to me. def will return when I am int he area. I think it would be better if it was a tad more spicer. but not all people like a little heat. thought I dont like a lot of heat to my chili.

Favorite place! Been going here for years. Highly recommend. They are always busy because they are so good and cheap.

As far as chili dogs go… it doesn’t get any better than this for me. All I eat here is the chili dogs and chili fries. I tried the hamburger but was not impressed at all. There seems to always be a line in the drive-​thru… but it moves rather quickly. And the people that work the drive-​thru window are always nice. GOOD JOB JIB JAB…

The name says it all. It’s a hot dog shop. It was what I had a hankering for, so I stopped at the shop. I like how this place is exactly what you might expect. Nothing fancy, & they’ve been here for years. Locals love the place.
The chili & onion hot dog was pretty good, & I appreciated the array of hot sauces to spice it up a bit. The cheese fries were thin cut and good, though I prefer them a little crispier, and the cheese was nothing special. Service was fast & friendly. Kind of neat how the waitresses have their own walkways beside the booths. There was also counter service and a drive thru.

These are some of the best hot dogs I have ever had. The chili is spot on and not spicy. The chopped onions add great texture. You must get the chili cheese fries! I try to stop in every time I am in town.

One advantage of taking a short trip — or it could be a long trip — to Youngstown, OH is the chance to stop at Jib Jab Hot Dog. They offer sausage, chicken, and hamburgers, but you really need to stay with the basics. The hot dogs are the basic steamed dogs, but the chili really makes the meal. Although price is not the main factor in picking a place to eat, the price is right: two chili dogs, a small fry (which fills the plate), and a medium soft drink for a little over $ 5. And the food is definitely filling and good.
This is a not a large restaurant, so you want to arrive early. I arrived about 11:45 and found a few empty tables. When I left about 12:10, people were waiting for others to finish and leave a table. Good news is that service is fast, at least when ordering hot dogs. Cannot wait to eat there again.

All the reviews for this place are for the hot dogs. I would like to add that they make a great breakfast sandwich. It is much larger than other fast food places, and they use real eggs. The sandwiches are made fresh, and the price is competitive with the competition.

If you’re looking for an excellent hot dog with chili sauce. This is the place.
Restaurant is due for a remodel it is getting run down.
But food is always excellent.

Jib jab is a favorite of mine. whenever I am in my hometown I have to get some. I haven’t found found a place to compare yet

On the chili cheddar dog, I expected cheddar, not fake cheezy sauce.
I asked for onions on the dog, got about 8 pieces. Buns were neither steamed nor toasted. Sauce is bean-​less & mostly? totally? meatless.
Next time I pass thru, I’m going to pass them by.

This place is amazing, fast, and super cheap. The buns are steamed and the hotdogs are juicy. The coney sauce is great, especially with onions. And my god, the fries are good. A small is big enough for 2 people to split.

This place is the very definition of childhood nostalgia.
My grandma always took me here as a child, so now if I’m ever in the area I absolutely MUST eat here. Their signature hot dogs (I get them with chili and onions) are tasty and cheap, and their chili fries are also amazing. They do junk food right, so if you’re looking for healthier options you won’t find much here.
Jib Jab has a laid back atmosphere and quick service, but if you’re really in a hurry you can utilize their drive-​thru. And hey, you know a restaurant’s good when it’s listed as a Girard, OH attraction on Wikipedia!
