I have been eating at Chicken Annies for over 45 years. The chicken is always crispy and juicy. The onion rings are awesome.

Waitress claims chicken fried steak is hand breaded and not frozen. Based on this I ordered it. It definately was frozen and not hand breaded. When I complained she giggled and said oh I thought it was hand breaded. Just be honest so I can make an informed choice and not leave as an unhappy patron.
My husband ordered chicken which was slightly overcooked and German potato salad which had so much vinegar it was hard to eat. We love this type of food so this was a disappointment.
We will not be back and would not recommend this place.

Awesome chicken and German slaw and potatoes are just perfect… if you are driving on Hwy 47, it is worth the stop and you will not be disappointed

I have been eating at Chicken Annies since the 60’s at one location or another. Girard has great Chicken and sides. The bread is typical of the area Delicious french local bakery bread. typical of all the Chicken places in crawford county. They are all acceptable but i would have to say Girard is first on my list. They also serve fresh pie and you can purchase «cold chicken» in a to go bag out of the cooler for your picnic or lunch. It is just a great place to eat over and over. I have had them cater several family gatherings and that has always been a great success. yummy!

The chicken here is to die for!!! Came for lunch on a Sunday and had no issues getting in and the food was AMAZING! The onion rings are HUGE as well as the hearts livers and gizzards.
