The macaroni salad had way too many onions that were big. Most all l&l’s have no onions in it. The atmosphere is also dirty.

The customer service leaves much to be desired… I’m pretty sure the cashiers are trained NOT to smile. I always laugh when they say«aloha» in the most unenthusiastic voice I’ve ever heard. Anywho the food is fantastic and that’s why I try to make it here ever other week or so. I’m a fan of the chicken personally, but it’s all very good although I’ve never tried the«native hawaiian» dish of spam haha. I will someday though! The food is good enough to make up for the lack of personality in the customer service. MAHALO!

I actually got written up for coming back to work late at lunchtime after ordering take out from here. This place is so slow. Also the quality of the meat is bad… charging restaurant prices for cheap cuts of chicken thigh meat.

I love me some spam musubi, so when we were driving thru we decided to take a pit stop for a quick snack. Careful with your ordering. This girl only got half of the things we said. This happened to the guy in front of us too. We ordered mac salad at two separate points(ie TWO mac salads) in the ordering process and ended up with just one. We went in to correct her and she said no, you said two scoops mac salad. We said no, but they refused to fix the mistake. She insisted we said two scoops, which isn’t lingo we would use to order ANYTHING. We were driving and the salad was for two separate people. All it would have taken was another SCOOP of mac salad and we would have been on our way. Just beware and order very slowly and don’t expect them to fix their mistake as an act of good customer service. No Aloha here!

The food was good but they were incredibly slow. This place is empty and they are very slow. I can’t imagine how it would be during a heavy lunch or dinner. Don’t come if you don’t have time to wait(15 – 30 mins).

I love the food. The service is ok, They are super slow making your food after you order, even when we call it in we still have to wait another 10 – 12 minutes once we get there… The bathroom could definetely use a make-over. I’ve never been disappointed with my food though and they have a lot on their menu. :)

Mahi mahi was delicious. Chicken katsu is a family favorite. The loco moco plate special was okay, but didnt really taste special. Had I not tried the loco moco I would have given them 5 stars. Great food!

We love this place. We called there BBQ bowl a better version of jack in the box teriaki bowls and we love those. Great place.

They take forever! The food is good. We walked in an hour before closing and the nice girl working at the counter told us we can only sit on one side because she was cleaning the other side I really didn’t like that other families were there crammed in one section. I’ll still go when I’m in gilroy shopping.

This place takes forever. I’m still here after ordering 3 mini meals half an hour ago. 5 minutes ago I watched them prepare 3 jumbo plates of the same exact thing I ordered and put them in a bag and set them aside. The person who ordered that still isn’t here. Why would you make food first for someone who isn’t here yet when I’ve been waiting half an hour? This place has ZERO customer service and its employees have ZERO customer service skills. I asked if it would be much longer and the cashier girl who was sipping on what looked like a Bloody Mary in a Starbucks cup how much longer after 20 min and she looked at me like I was the rudest person in the world. Avoid at all costs.

I used to enjoy this place but lately(and this is coming from a person who has visited a couple locations recently) the wait time to receive your order is ridiculously long, the protein portions are sliced thinner /made skimpier than ever before, the prices are absurdly high and, lastly, every time I’ve ordered the BBQ beef, it’s almost always pure fat and bone. The Spam Masubi is their only redeeming quality and never disappoints.

Ate here today and it was not as great as you would think. The food tasted bland, far from authentic. I’ve eaten in other locations and I would say that this location is not the best but if you’re in Gilroy and you’re craving some Lau Lau Pork or Kalbi… come through to this location.

Very friendly and courteous service. The food, for me, is a mood food. If you’re craving it — go for it! :)

The food is great! Believe me, but there’s this cute girl that works there and I’m always so nice to her but I can never seem to get a ‘hello how are you can I take your order’ or something similar. But no, all I get is ‘what do you want’ she’s takes my order so cold. And she’s all smiley friendly with my husband when he picks up our order when it’s ready. Haha. And when males order she seems to be nice but when I go she’s all cold. That’s why I’m giving 3 stars for THE food. She has to step her game up and be nice to ALL customers. No matter the gender.

L&L is basically the same no matter where you go, even Hawai’i. Menu is constant and the food never varies. So you can keep returning and get the same thing every time. It’s fun to step outdide the box though.

I went in for a Ramen burger and the place seemed rundown. The ice machine was broken. The soda machine was serving flat warm soda. The place was over priced and I will be returning. The food wasn’t the greatest.

One of my favorite restaurants in town… Been training and dieting so I’ve had to stay away from rice… I came for lunch and it was just as fantastic as I remember… Restaurants is pretty clean and the cashiers are always cool… Can’t complain at alllll

As much as I love their food especially the bbq chicken, the past 2 times I’ve gone I got food poisoning. The first time wasn’t so bad but this most recent visit was horrible. Great customer service though!

So I have been to pretty much all the L&L here in the Santa Clara County. But this one here in Gilroy is a bit«unique» due in part of nationality demographic. Why do I say this? Cause they no longer serve Curry Katsu Chicken because most of the citizens here don’t have the taste for it. Well as for the store itself, its clean but not meticulously clean. As you enter you can tell the floor hasn’t been mopped properly in sometime. The Service, the cashier is cool he listens well and is quick. The Chef however, there was only one. Even though they are not busy. That is no reason to go on Hawaiian time. Brah this is California even though you guys in Gilroy! Overall the food is good even though it took longer than expected. So drop by maybe they will go on mainland time!

L&L is pretty consistent, wherever you go. All I really get is the musubi, which I became addicted to in Hawaii and grab whenever the opportunity presents itself in America(on the mainland), which is generally at a local L&L. Driving from San Jose to LA twice a month, the presence of this location is appreciated. I’d give this place six stars if I could reach over and grab the biceps of the cashier who was working there today. Rrrawrrrrr.
