I have to give this business five stars, not only for the price but for their customer service. I had two guestrooms to put together when I moved to Gilroy. I needed 2 box springs and a mattress. The gentleman that sold me those items was very friendly and the process was smooth and easy. Six months later, one of my box springs broke. It was ill fitting due to an antique frame I have with bent crossbars. When I called in distress over Christmas time, stating that I needed a new one for family that was coming, they exchanged it for free! I spoke to Jose, he immediately offered to replace it, no haggling! He was great! The two people that delivered the boxspring, Fernando and David, were extremely friendly and respectful. They noticed that my frame could use more support and found extra crossbars for me and made time to deliver them, free of charge. They definitely saved my Christmas! Thank you House of Furniture. You have wonderful items, in good quality with a great price and the hardest workers around! I will recommend you always, without hesitation!

I bought furniture there several times, a dining room set, a bunk bet, and now a sofa. Every time we love the friendly and helpful staff who go above and beyond to assist you. Today we wanted to purchase the sofa we had seen two months ago when we bought the bunk beds. Of course the sofa was not there anymore. Carlos immediately brought out the catalog and knew which one we were looking for. We placed the order and will have it Wednesday. We also got a nice discount. We will definitely come back.

If I could give this business negative stars I would. I will stick with one star solely because the gentleman who assisted us in purchasing our couch was quite helpful. That is not nearly close to what I can say about the manager of this establishment. Not only did this company give us the run around for WEEKS, but when they were confronted about their lack of customer service, they had everyone else to put the blame on but themselves. Being a manager of a financial retail establishment, I know how a client should and should not be treated. These people treated my boyfriend and I with nothing but disrespect. The manager even went as far as to insult us. When you’re paying $ 1,500 for a piece of furniture, and are given a time frame as to when that piece of furniture is to be expected for delivery, you would think they would follow through on that promise. Well, that is DEFINITELYNOTTHECASE with House of Furniture & Mattresses. They quoted us 1 to 4 weeks for delivery. Come week 3 we figure it will be here the following week. NOPE! Come half way thru week 4 we get the runaround. «I’ll give you a call back with your delivery date.» No call back. Week 5, same deal. At this point we wanted to cancel our order just out of pure frustration from the lack of competency in these ridiculous people. After several phone calls, and being rather demanding(I was BEYOND fed up at this point) we were finally able to get a delivery date. The manager offered to «send a little gift» with delivery. We did not want a gift. What is a gift going to fix?! We asked to be credited back some funds and the $ 100 for delivery. The manager was less than willing to help, yet again not taking a single thread of ownership, and blaming everything on God knows who! Here is a copy of a text message he sent me: «(½) Hello. I had a call from the MFG regarding your sectional unfortunately they will not give us any credit. But I will personally give a 50 dollar credit(2⁄2) in the form of cash or refund your credit card account to prove to you that you as a customer are very important to us . Thanks. Dan» Yeah thanks for absolutely NOTHING Dan. $ 50 doesn’t even cover the damn sales tax. I would NEVER recommend this company to a single soul. Not even to my worst enemy. I seriously hope these people see this review. And I hope it gets as high as possible. If I can save even just one person from the headache this establishment will give you, than I’ve done my job here.
