I am an extremely picky person and I like to tell them right away. Being new to Gilbert I read reviews and found a barber shop for my boys. They had five stars. But what a disappointment. I decided to try Smart Styles for convenience. Never thought a salon inside a Walmart would be so amazing! But I was last minute getting cuts in time for school pictures. Leslie cut both my boys hair and she knew exactly what I wanted and what they needed. Combining both. She has a great down to earth personality as well which made the time go by. So glad we found our hairdresser!

Took my daughter-​in-​law Lisa in for a haircut. Had been to other salons and they could never get the style she was looking for. Yvonne new exactly what Lisa wanted and did a great job. Will keep coming back as long as Yvonne works there. Looking forward to a hair color next week.

Where do I begin… my daughter took me here for a highlight and cut. She knows how fussy I am with my hair because it’s very fine.
Well, I received the BEST haircut I have EVER had in 47 years! I told her I was an 80’s girl and to me, the bigger I can get my hair the better. She used this powder in my hair that was easy to use and instantly puffed my hair. It was just like back-​combing your hair after you put it in. Just crazy, awesome stuff. I was extremely pleased with the cut and the product.
NEXT, let’s talk about the entertainment factor… it was like sitting through a two hour show. these hair stylist were hysterical. I have been to places like that where they are having fun, but you as the customer feel like you are intruding because the are ignoring you. NOT here! As they laughed, one of them would tell the back story to all the customers to include us and we were all laughing the whole time.
So bottom line, if you want a GREAT haircut, great products and a fun experience, check out this salon!

I am one of those fickle people who is never happy with a hair cut. I’ll be honest, I went to this salon because it is inexpensive and I couldn’t be too mad at myself if I got a cut I didn’t like at a lower price. Boy was I wrong. There was a bit of a wait, as I showed up a little after opening on a Sunday morning, but I had shopping to do so it was not a problem. Once I came back for my haircut with Shanel she really took the time to get to know me, my hair, what I like and what I don’t like before she even washed my hair. She made me feel comfortable, pampered and made sure through each step of the way that she was keeping the length that I wanted. I was thrilled when I left there. Thrilled that I got a great haircut for half the price of some of my past horrible haircuts. I WILL be returning in 6 weeks.
