Madison Avenue Intl Salon & Day Spa

I’ve been a client at Madison Avenue (MA) for over 10 years now; first at their flagship Ray Road location and now the Chandler and 48^th street one.
Fast forward years later, and the brand now has 3 – 4 (?) locations, including this beautiful location in Gilbert.
If you’ve been to their Ahwatukee and Chandler Mall locations expecting an epic nail spa and vast hair area, you’ll be sorely disappointed.
There’s one area for hair, and only two pedicure and manicure stations and a few treatment rooms.
This MA is small and quiet — Heck, they’re closed Sunday and Monday — Easily reflecting the neighborhood and demographic.
After some big changes and events in her life, I found out Debra Caristo had moved here to do nails part time.
Now Debra has done my nails for almost four years, although I fell off the map this past year — But I am back and ready to get my hands beautiful again!
Debra is not just a nail technician, this lady is a nail GODDESS /​artist and a loyal friend.
Her attention to detail is out of this world, whether she’s cleaning up your cuticles, shaping your nails or delivering an amazing gel polish job with that SHELLAC product us ladies adore.
Plenty of CND Shellac, Vinylux and regular OPI polish colors to choose from. And if it’s not there, just ask!
Get your nails done with Debra or Megan, you won’t regret it!

I can’t comment on hair or any other services at this location outside of the nail spa — But if this place is true to the MA standard, you won’t be disappointed with the results.

Clare does my hair on an on-​going basis. Wonderful every time, whether it’s a cut, color, style or new look. But I especially need to mention that she’s THE best with color.

I had a groupon for a massage. It was the worst massage I’ve ever had. When I arrived the receptionist was friendly. I though it was odd to offer a soda before a massage .The therapist also offered me a soda as one of beverages offered. The massage had no flow, She circled with her thumbs pretty much the whole time!!! I was so irritated I was so tempted to get off the table. The pressure was inconsistent and she would stop halfway on my legs. Once again there were no full strokes, very choppy! She spent about a minute on my neck! It was also noisy from the hair stylist!

Erika was wonderful. She took the time to listen to my hair request and it paid off. My haircut turned out great. I wake up everyday able to style it without frustration. It has been over a month since my haircut and I am still in love. Thank you Erika!

After having a horrible experience at the salon I had been going to for years I decided to try Madison since it’s right next to my house. I read reviews and decided to book an appt with Ty because of all of the positive reviews that he had received and because someone had mentioned he was great with color. I am so glad that I did because Ty had exceeded my expectations! He did an amazing job turning my jacked up ombré into something beautiful. I am seriously in love with my color and I would highly recommend him to all of my friends and family.
Ty took his time to ensure that he knew what I wanted and he walked me through the process. He put me at ease by explaining the steps and toning process because of my bad experience in the past. He even explained that if I was not happy I could come back and he would make any corrections. I really appreciated that he said that and it showed me that he was all about great customer service.
I am so relieved that I found him and I plan on going to him regularly. Not only is he very professional, he also has a fun and easy going personality which made my experience even better. I feel like I’ve known him for years!
The salon is very nice and clean and they offer all of the traditional services that you would expect. The receptionist was nice and friendly as well and offered me a beverage right away. I feel like I’ve finally found my go to salon and I am so excited!!!

I had a great experience here! Ty did my hair and he did a great job! I chopped off 11 inches and he made me super comfortable and he also did a really good job. These prices are also much cheaper than other salons in the area. I also received new client coupons. I’m very happy with my visit! Thanks Ty!!!

Great place! Ty has been cutting my hair for years, and does a great job every time. I would recommend anyone wanting a good haircut, coloring or spa treatment to come here. Friendly staff and great service too.

Tyrel is awesome and has been doing my hair for a few years now. The only person I go to for my cut and color. The staff is friendly here and a great place for a spa day. Book your appointment with Tyrel and you will be nothing but satisfied.

I’ve never been so mad in my life. I went in to get a toner in my hair. As its wet, the stylist tells me «it’s $ 35 for me to blow dry your hair». Are you kidding me? I was NOT expecting to pay just for you to blow dry my hair. So I had to leave the salon with WET HAIR!!! I was so embarrassed. And worst part of all, I had somewhere to be after my so called hair appointment so I showed up looking like a wet dog. NEVER AGAIN will I go to this salon. How dare you try to charge me AFTER I’m sitting there with my hair dripping wet. You people should tell their customers before hand not after. I’m so disappointed in this «salon»

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door to this salon. I needed a haircut badly and I was nervous to try a new stylist. I booked an appointment with Tyrel and he was marvelous! My hair hasn’t looked that good in a long time. He took the time to listen to what I wanted and gave suggestions to make my hair look beautiful. I also received new client coupons for other services at the salon. I will definitely be going back for not only a haircut, but also to try out the other fun stuff at the salon.
