I’ve been a customer of this store for several years. I’ve probably spent about $ 5,000 in parts and supplies at this store since 2010. Today, this company lost my business over a .75 beach ball. Here’s how it went down: They had several small beach balls that were clearly promotional materials from a vendor/supplier. My 18 month old daughter was playing with one. I set it on the counter with my purchase, when I wasn’t charged, I thought I had confirmation that this was, indeed, a free vendor promotion. I started to walk out the door and was asked, rudely, if I was going to pay for the ball. I responded that I thought it was just a promotional item from the vendor since it had no price on it and since he didn’t ring it up when I set it on the counter with my purchase. At that point, he had the chance to let it go and keep my business, but instead charged me — .75 for an item that clearly was just meant as a vendor promotion. I checked online to confirm that this wasn’t really a product meant for resale and that was confirmed. This somewhat dishonest business practice that embarrassed me at the same time was enough for me to make the decision to take my business elsewhere in the future.(In case it’s not clear — it wasn’t about the .75 charge — just the way the whole thing went down.)

Seriously got here 5 minutes to close. The guy sees me running to the door with a pool part in hand and locks the door. So ticked off, will never go here again.

I’ve used cactus pool supply for years and they’ve always provided good service and an honest assessment of my pool issues. I’ve met the owner many times and he is a straight shooter and knowledgeable.

Decided to write this review to share my experience and hopefully help Cactus Pools get a better rating. Staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. They have a selection that suits any pool needs you might have. Prices are very competitive, especially when you take advantage of their specials and sales. Products are of the best quality on the market. Two thumbs up for this store, I will happily keep shopping here for all of my pools needs! Keep up the good work!

Highly priced, claim they have more powerful chemicals compared to their competitors which is laughable. Don’t honor coupons. Use certain coupons to get you into the store only to find out they don’t have the item, hoping you make a purchase on something that is full price. I’d rather get my pool supplies at a grocery store.

I am *this* close to firing my «pool boy». And considering that I am my pool boy, that’s rather pathetic. Enter Cactus Valley Pools. These guys know their stuff, and they are VERY helpful. Tons of great advice, no high pressure«Oh you’ve got to buy this and that» sort of crap. Just friendly help and advice for the struggling pool boy in all of us. Their prices are in line with other places, good stock of parts and what not, and they can swiftly order anything they don’t have. If you need help with your pool, a water chemistry test, or any chemicals, parts or supplies, head on over and they will fix you right up. My only beef is they need to be open longer on Sundays. *Highly* recommended!
