The owners are very kind and helpful. I never liked yoga before, because it was slow moving and I didn’t like the cool atmosphere, until I was introduced to Bikram style. A unique style that flows together well and does not feel like just stretching. I have a very old injury that resurfaced causing me to barely walk and all I could do was move slowly and try to calm my nerves. After talking to Esme she convinced me to do Bikram(I really enjoyed the heat, the hotter the better :) perhaps this comes from my Wild-land fire days) and I hated/loved it. I liked it because I have always been a very active person and like a challenge. It has been a year since I started East Valley Bikram Yoga and They has helped me regain movement and getting me physically capable to exceed my potential and getting me to a place even stronger than before and therefore look better. Off to yoga maybe I will see you there!

Highly recommended. Great studio with caring and local owners. Gentle corrections, range of instructors, and no cliquishness.

My friend and I purchased a 2 month membership. I have class on Mondays in Tempe till 7pm. We wanted to go to a class at 7:30pm, so I asked her to let the instructor know that I would be a little late. There was a heavy storm that caused the freeway to be backed up. The employees refused to wait 15 min. for me to get there. The instructor had already started the yoga class, so there was no delay for the 2 other students taking the yoga class that night. Since there were 2 employees working, I do not see any reason as to why a business cannot keep their doors open for a PAYING customer. If I gave you money to take a class you are already giving, I should be able to go to said class at any time. I have been early for every class I have taken at this establishment, but the one time I was running late they were not willing to keep the doors unlocked for 15 min. Because they shut their doors to me, I wasted an hour of my time and gas due to driving from tempe and back. This is unacceptable. I will not be going back to this place after I finish my 2 month membership.

I bought their month membership off of Groupon(which ran somewhere in the $ 20 – 30 range) because the studio is located very close to my house. This was my first Bikram experience. Truth be told, the whole time I thought I was going to die… but somehow I didn’t and actually ended up loving it, returning back for several more classes too! The place is brand new, clean and pretty, with nice locker rooms and one huge yoga studio. When I went, classes weren’t too packed, maybe between 4 – 10 people of all different ages and levels. Teachers were all great. Lots of close parking. The only reason I’m not still going here is the steep membership prices. A few words of advice if you’ve never done Bikram before; the room will be about 105 degrees and 40% humidity, soooo: bring the biggest water bottle you can find(you will probably drink it all), stop eating a few hours before your class, bring a big towel to lay over your yoga mat, and wear as little clothes as possible(trust me, everyone is just trying to survive and will not be picking apart your every flaw). Oh, and have fun!
