I had one of my AC units replaced by AC Smart last year. I wasn’t terribly impressed at the way they handled things last year. Since they replaced one of my units, they would check it out out at no coat this year and charge me a fee for my other unit. I had made my appt a few weeks prior for an 8−11am show. At 10:55am, I get a call to find out they are running behind. While thankful for the call(which is better than nothing, like a year ago) I was still irritated as I had an appt for 12:30p. I figured even if they showed up at 11, that should be plenty of time to make my appt. On the phone, I was told that he would be here in 30 or 40 minutes — it took 50 and I was told that he could check out my units in 20 minutes — it took 45. I made it clear that I needed him to work as quickly as possible. Because of their tardiness, I wasn’t charged at all which I appreciated. Compared to last year, it seems they’re trying to improve they’re business practices and while I appreciated a comp check up, I ultimately appreciate timeliness and accuracy therein.

AC Smart or A/C Smart operates from two locations, here and one on Country Club. They do cold calls with a $ 50 «tune up» that turns into a pressure sale for overpriced service on a contract. At one point, I looked up the contractor and saw the license had been revoked, but this does not seem to be the case at this time. If you’re an Angie’s list member, get the full scoop there.

I receive calls from this company attempting to service my air conditioning system weekly. I have asked no less than 6 times(including last week) to be removed from their call list. Each time I am assured they will do so, but it never happens. Last week I asked for a supervisor and was refused one. They were all«in a meeting» and the rep ASSUREDME that he updated their records while I was on that call. Hmmm… what do I get today? You guessed it! A solicitation call from them again. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISCOMPANY. Not because I know anything about their work, but rather because they DONOT listen to customers, or potential customers.
