We arrived at Augie’s, knowing that it was under new management and construction (KOA), not really knowing what to expect, we were greeted by Denise, what a warm and personable young woman. Easy checkin, even better she directed us personally with her little golf cart to our spot, maybe she could see we were newbies, but the pull through was wide and long. Wow super nice, not parked on top of each other. New picnic tables on each site. Each site has TV cable, new lights have been install at each end of the streets, which is very helpful when walking during sunset. If you have pets you will love the oversize dogs runs, they (KOA) knows how to do this right!!!, they also have an oversize clubhouse, lots of tables, big screen TV, puzzles, books, I even found a recipe books that past guests have contributed there favorite recipes. Yummy for your tummy, restrooms and showers and a kitchen also located in the clubhouse.
I met Ms. Donna, she is the activities director, really more like a Mom, she was like the welcome wagon, she really rocks. Had a community coffee break event with bagels and OJ, lots of the guests showed up, plus the owner Scott Swanson, and his partner of this RV park. his Mom… Mom rocked! The new renovation being done here is so awesome and amazing. from snowbirds to RV doing a weekend trip, this is the place to be. Plus it’s a Good Sam… discount yahoo. If you stop by try to meet Ryan, he is wonderful if you need a cable or just information of the area, tell him Cindi says hi…

The place has a nice setting overall, planted trees and cactus. Bathrooms are clean but with only one shower for the entire park, well wait your turn. There is no cable and wifi kept buffering, makes it hard to watch streaming movies. If your a light sleeper you may not appreciate the train nearby. I personally won’t be back, too many other local choices at the same price but with all the amenities.

Augie’s is an expansive RV park with plenty of room between all the spaces. The folks that checked us in could not have been nicer and have obvious pride in their business. The club house has a nice flat screen TV, an air hockey game and lots and lots of puzzles to while away your days. The bathrooms are nice and clean. The only drawback is the location in relation to other amenities. There is no way to walk for shopping or restaurants so once you are «hooked up» you had better plan to stay awhile.
