Try to keep this short and sweet. The beer was decent, but it seems like it takes forever to get served for some reason. I like a broad selection in beers, and when I was there I definitely got that. The IPA and IIPA were delicious. Hoppy, yet not overly bitter. Beer snob tip(I’m a Cicerone Certified Beer Server): when we were here on June 4th, 3 of the beers had a very obvious diacetly(butterscotch, buttered popcorn flavor) problem in beers where there should be low to no diacetyl present(it was the pale ale, the brown ale and stout, if i remember correctly). Ironically the ESB which could have had some diacetly didn’t have much. This isn’t hazardous, but is kind of a rookie beer brewing mistake. With that said, the base beers are tremendous and show a lot of promise. Iron out your fermentation issues and I can see Wet Coast being a top-name in PNW brewing. Cheers.

Ok so this was the first time going here and will probably be my last because of such poor customer service from a young man behind the tap last night. They were busy because of a party but there was no one in line at the bar so I asked him for a glass of water and he pointed to where a «free» water station was set up. But for me to get to the water station I would have to ask 4 people to move so I asked the young man behind the bar if he would please get me a glass of water and I would pay for it… you’re guessing correctly he just flat out said no. Unless you enjoy being belittled by a 21 year old punk this might not be the place for you. There are so many places to spend your money it’s a shame the owners probably don’t even know how poor the service is. Or its his son?

Home port for beer aficionados. Best staff on the planet and their beer stands up to the best in every category. I would put Wet Coast and the folks there up against any I’ve tried. The depth and scope of their brewing is reflected in the multitude of offerings and the distinct flavors and tastes they come up with. Huge fan and will continue to be!

These guys are a ton of fun and their beers are damn good, too. They’re right by the freeway, easy to find behind a burger chain place. Reasonable amount of parking, and a roll-up door open when it isn’t too cold out. All the things you like about having a few beers in a converted light industrial space. There are a few tables and a bar in one bay, and the other bay holds the brewhouse. They haven’t made too many batches yet, but almost every batch has been a different style, and the brewhouse has plenty of room to add more tanks. If they keep brewing well, they’ll be bigger soon for sure – this little suburban town seems to really love its suds. There was a steady stream of both pint and growler customers this past Saturday afternoon. There’s not much here other than the beer and the seating. I think there was a TV or two, tuned to the game. They have about a dozen house beers on, and a couple guest taps if memory serves. Cool glasses and coasters. It’s mostly anglo ales – IPAs of many kinds, APAs, porters, stouts, black ale, all made well. Clean beer with clear flavor choices showcased effectively. This isn’t the kind of brewery that will make people fly thousands of miles just for a couple bottles, but it will definitely make the locals come back every weekend for a growler fill, and a pint or two while they wait. The people are so super friendly. They love talking about their beers, their growth, and so on. They are proud to be pouring in bars all over the south sound. I cheerfully suggested to the bartender that they come up north, if only for one night to do a brewer’s night, and she looked like she might faint at the thought of adding more work and more accounts to their list, so I let it slide. I’ll happily enjoy what they’re clearly working hard to accomplish whenever I am in the area next.

Another solid brewery. If I were to ding for one short coming it would be that its in Gig harbor instead of Tacoma. But seriously solid brewery, cool atmosphere and great beer. I have been traveling all over the greater Tacoma area checking out the different breweries. This one is higher on the list than lower. Great little place.

Tucked away off the freeway is this little brewery and taproom in its first year open. When you walk in, you’re immediately greeted with a vibrant Washington feel. I’m always promptly acknowledged by a bartender, and seating is comfortable. Major kudos to whoever designed this place — they added sound-paneling, so you can actually have a conversation with people and not have to yell over eachother. I wish more small locations would consider this. They have about 10 different beers on tap, and you can order mini or full-flight samplers. They also sell all kinds of well-designed swag. Like most other taprooms, they do not serve food, but you’re welcome to bring your own. There’s a good, reasonably-priced teriyaki place in the complex, as well as a BK Lounge(Burger King, for non-Dane Cook fans). One of the things I like most about this place is the startup feel. At least one, if not both, owners have been there every time I’ve visited. They always make a point to visit with customers, and they’re open to feedback. It was cool learning about how they transitioned from homebrewers and the challenges they’ve faced starting a business. The beers are definitely improving with each batch. They release new styles often, so I highly recommend dropping in frequently to give things a try. Their darker ales are definitely the strength of Wet Coast. They tend to keep beers based on their customer feedback, so you might actually have a chance to play a role in their growth and success. Check them out!

1st time visit. Have been wanting to stop for ages. Super easy to find and plenty of seating for a new — ish place. Friendly staff and tasty beer. Really enjoyed the Bottleman Brown Ale and the Moving Day IPA. The IPA showed loads of grapefruit to balance out the IBU. Taking home a few for later.

Wow, I actually found this place! Brand new brewery(5 months), with 10(now nine) beers on tap. I tasted their Black Ale: snappy taste for IBU of 28. Got a pint of Bottleman Brown(the one that blew). Mild, very slight sweetness … Just what I was expecting. Staff was SUPER friendly … I really like that. I live in Puyallup and there are dozenS of breweries between me and Gig Harbor; so it will be impossible to get here very often. Too bad about that.

I liked this new brewery in Gig Harbor. The beers were really good. I had the ESB. It said it had a higher IBU content but it wasn’t overly hoppy and had a good flavor. I also tried the pale which was good. They have a nice space, when I stopped by it was pretty crowded but we were still able to get a table. I would definitely stop by again sometime.

I have been following the opening of this place closely. I am a big fan of craft beer and especially local craft beer. The staff is friendly, attentive, and hard working. I am quite happy with the beer as they have consistently maintained a quality selection of a variety of beers. My favorites so far have been the Brown, the Milk Stout, and the two fresh hopped beers that they have done.

I really wanted to like Wet Coast. I kept a close eye on their progress while they were opening and was excited to give the place a try. I finally made it over but wound up being quite disappointed. The beer simply seemed to have no flavor. I got the Linejumper, an IPA I believe. Those are notorious for bold flavors but it just wasn’t there. Steve got a Pale Ale and reached the same conclusion as well. No taste. Not much else to add really. The place looked like they were having an event so we quickly drank our beers and quietly slipped away.

Always happy to have another place to grab a beer in town. Great beer and friendly staff. The location is a little hard to find and small but the beer is excellent. Stop by and try a flight! I really like the IPA. Welcome to the neighborhood Wet Coast.

We went there on a Friday afternoon and ordered a flight of everything. The girl working there was very knowledgeable on all of their beer, including how they were named. For the size of the operation the quality of the beer was outstanding! It is definitely worth stopping by during the limited hour. The session IPA was especially delicious.

New craft brewery in Gig Harbor continuing the new tradition beer brewing and tap rooms in the area. The beers are northwest style, medium to strong ales of the usual variety. This little place has potential though. Although the tap room is a little small and rather loud and echoey when full, it’s sharp, clean and new. More to come in time, but check it out on one of the three days a week it’s open. Also, really tasty snacks for $ 1… Cant beat that!
