The Wine Studio

Super friendly owners/​staff who are happy to give advice, share a glass, or help you with a recommendation. We arrived just after the live music ended, but rather than be turned away, we were welcomed to sit and stay. We left with some great bottles and a new favorite spot in Gig Harbor.

I think this place is in search of an identity.
We spent an evening here as a break from the grandkids. There is no food available. If you want to eat, they have menus from a pizza place and a nearby hotel-​you order for delivery. Very clumsy. While there, some folks came in and played shoot-​em-​up video games on the TV by the bar. There was a small stage that was probably for entertainment in the corner. So what is this place?
The prices for our glasses of wine were very high ($ 9 per glass) for what was supposed to be their house wine. The quality was as I expected from a ‘house’ wine, but I would have expected more like $ 7 for the glass. I said «would have expected» because there was no price written on the board for the wine. My fault for not asking I guess.
I am far from a novice when it comes to wine and wine lounges. I would recommend virtually any other lounge in the area over this place.

Spent some time in Gig Harbor over Labor Day weekend. The Wine Studio is a fantastic place to spend some time and discover new wines and meet great people. Wine tasting is on Friday nights. Local vineyards showcase their wines. The owners are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Also was there for the Open Mike night. which was a lot of fun and great local entertainment. This place is a GEM.

Mascotto diAsti, need I say more?!! This shop is a must visit in the harbor. I’ve been visiting the wine studio since they opened. Taste a new wine or munch snacks and chat. The patio tables are lovely in the summer or chill inside on the high chairs and enjoy your wine or beer. The staff are experts. Tell them what you enjoy and they’ll suggest something new for you.

The Wine Studio is a great place to come discover new wines. Friday night wine tastings with wine makers and distributors. Wednesday night Ladies Night with $ 2 off glasses of wine. I find new wines before they are discovered or jewels you can only find in speciality shops such as The Wine Studio. Join the Wine Club and get additional discounts off your regular glasses of wines and bottles plus specially selected wines of the month just for Wine Club members. Wine Club members also have the opportunity to go to local wineries for exclusive wine tastings and tours. The new owners Kirsten and Rich have taken over where Diana left off and have continued to make The Wine Studio a special place in the harbor to go and drink good wine and make new friends in the comfortable atmosphere!

Oh where to I start? This is the best place I have ever been to purchase and drink wine. You can purchase a bottle (s) or buy by the glass. The owner (Diana) is one of nicest people you will ever meet. The Wine Studio has thrived while other wine shops in the area have failed. I think this is due to the friendly atmosphere plus a great selection of thrifty wines. Most of the wines here are $ 50 or less with many excellent wines under $ 10. Diana will help guide you to find a great wine at the price you want. Finding good wine in the $ 15-​$ 10 range is like a treasure hunt and The Wine Studio is a great place to start your search.
