Nice antiques and vintage décor, surly old owners. Usually people that own these types of stores want to conversate with customers, not so here. Will probably go back anyway … definitely cheaper than Austin places for unique home decorations. P. S. Not sure if the«electrician» category is right or not. They do seem to sell old lamps and light fixtures, but I guess I thought an electrician was someone who came out to people’s houses and fixed/changed stuff with the wiring. *EDIT* So I wrote this review when I was brand new to Unilocal and hadn’t settled in to my now-familiar long-winded style. Just wanted to explain that when I went, I bought a lovely framed print of a young girl holding a cat, because my husband and I had had the same print hanging in our place in Galveston before it burned down. So I was really surprised to see the same print there, in better condition and in a better frame, and not that expensive(don’t remember how much, but I know it was less than $ 30 because I saw a painting of a ship that I liked as well but didn’t buy it because I didn’t want to spend $ 30 at the time since my husband didn’t have a job in central Texas yet). My mother also had her eye on a planter there, but decided not to buy it for whatever reason. I mentioned that the owners were«surly» because the woman seemed not to care a whit about my story of replacing the print after the fire. I mean, I wasn’t asking for a discount or anything, just thought she might think be interested to hear about why my find was so serendipitous. I haven’t gone back yet, but if I do, it will be for the antique-store-type merchandise that comprises the majority of the store, not for the light-fixture-type stuff.
