I went to Dunhams to find some good home gym equipment and be sure that the deal I was getting had good value by comparing to other stores/websites. Once decided, I went back on a Monday night, but the place was closed. I was not happy about the time wasted, especially because one of the employees had told me they would be open. I spoke to the store manager and she made it right. She offered great customer service where many other companies would have suggested that I was to blame for not double checking the times on the website. This store had a lot to offer anyone looking for a good deal and I recommend giving this store a chance to win your business. It has won mine.

I go in to purchase a firearm on Black Friday. I am waiting in line for an hour, then we are let in. I am one of the first to the case, and speak with a manager who shows me the firearm. I say, «I’ll take it.» He then asks me to fill out the typical information. I do. As I do, he begins waiting on a million other people and keeps overlooking that my paperwork is completed. Finally, after about 15 minutes of waiting on other people he comes over to me after going into the back stock department.(He doesn’t bring anything out). He then reviews the paperwork with me and gives it to an associate to call it in. Now I am 5th in the cue. Each phone call to the Feds is taking 20 minutes. I wait, and wait, and wait. Now I am next in cue. I tell the person calling in the applications that I am going to go to other departments. There were a couple of other items I wanted to pick up. I do. When I come back, I am 3rd in cue. What the heck? I’d had enough. I took my golf clubs back, got my drivers license, and Dunham’s is out the $ 1100 I was ready to spend. As I was leaving I asked to speak to a manager and a nice young lady came up and explained that these things happen, and we’re all just human, and that she’s sorry. It was refreshing to hear a woman say«I’m sorry», but customers want more than«I’m sorry.» It’s just not good enough. I will go to a gun shop tomorrow, pay more, and be much happier.

I come here for their firearms department. I feel like this location is borderline meh. They are always empty and the cashiers look and act like they’d rather be anywhere but there. I go here mainly because it is local and convenient for me. Their prices aren’t bad and if you enroll online you get a lot of coupons. I don’t know that I’d ever actually purchase a firearm here since they aren’t staffed with very knowledgeable people. I usually come to buy a cheap holster until a custom one can be made. Sometimes I pick up camo sweatshirts and stuff too. If you catch them on a sale you can get a great deal. So basically, if you want workout gear or know specifically what you are looking for, you can get a good bargin, but if you go in expecting someone to be able to assist you, you are in the wrong store.
