Best Feeds Garden Centers

Best feeds is great — the staff are real experts: they know their stuff and always friendly and helpful. They have plants no one else has (recently bought 3 Mountain laurel bushes there). My kids always have fun there too looking at their water features and goldfish ponds.

This place is my happy place. If you’re into landscaping at all or gardening, and you live in Pittsburgh, you have to check out this place. They grow many of their plants locally so you can feel comfortable that the pricey tree you’re buying has actually lived through several winters in our wonderful home sweet home. I have had much more success with their perennial plants surviving and thriving, than other big name national home stores. They have a great selection of trees, shrubs, and annuals. I love buying my tomato plants and other various vegetable plants in the early spring here as well.
Perhaps the best part of this store is supporting a local business that has amazing, knowledgeable staff. I’m telling you, the head gardener guy is like the plant whisperer. You tell him where the plant is, what is wrong with it, and other details and he tells you what caused it. Got a weird bug in your garden or something on your plant leaves? Bring in the bug or cut of the plant and you’ll have your answer. They are so right at times it is creepy.
Long story short, if you’re a gardener, or attempting to be, put Best Feeds on your must visit list!
