While I didn’t buy any wine while visiting Tretadue, my friends and I had the luxury of hanging out with Junior on their Gondola Tour and Tasting. Nine of us packed into the gondola and enjoyed a fabulous experience in and around the winery while trying out a number of their wines. Junior was extremely personal, and made sure that all of us had the opportunity to try their wines and explained how the processing of each wine was done. Since he lived on the winery, he was able to share a number of his experiences of what it was like to «grow up» with the winery. Junior’s friendliness and enthusiasm was certainly something all of us took note of, and agreed that he’s the biggest reason why we enjoyed visiting Trentadue.

I like the Muscat Canelli port they make — but am not a fan of the ever popular chocolate port. I also love their«Old Patch» — a fine table wine that goes good with or without food. The tasting room is small, dark and somewhat depressing. I’ve been there many times to pick up shipments or go for the free tastings w/pickups and think, «They could do with a little more light in here…» If you have to entertain people who do not enjoy drinking wine, the Trentadue Winery will probably give them a «kick start» into the«Hey! Wine tasting isn’t so bad!» mode. Trentadue will have something that everyone will enjoy… even those that don’t enjoy wine. They have some nice sales of their wines. I’m always on the lookout for case lots of the«Old Patch» — and the sparkling wine is good to pick up also. Get on their email list or join the wine club to be informed about these events.

I came here a couple weeks ago with a group of 4. It was a VERY hot day and the tasting room was dead. We had a guy to pour our wine all to ourselves. I would say he was my least favorite part of the experience. He tried to be in our conversation a bit too much. We all prefer when they pour the wine, give a description, and then kind of walk away so you can all talk about the taste of the wine in private. In my experience, when 4 people are all paying for their own tasting(3 of us paying for reserve and 1 regular), usually the pourer will give you a little some extra(like a bonus taste of something not on the menu, or a piece of chocolate, etc), but when my brother asked for a tiny bit bigger pour so we could all take a sip from his glass, he said no. He was very strict on his pours and didn’t make the tasting experience very enjoyable. Overall, we all enjoyed the wine and bought bottles. What I really enjoyed is having a picnic w/a bottle of their wine under the trellis. It’s a beautiful winery and I would definitely come back in the future.

Get married here — I did on 8÷8÷15 and it was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process! Trentadue Winery is beautiful setting for a wedding. Getting married on the North Lawn with the mountains and vineyards in the background made our wedding photos. The Trentadue property is set-up for parties and so easy to customize to make it your own and not like every other party they host. There are so many ways to use the property! Not to mention the Milestone Events group knows how to organize a wedding so that it goes off perfectly. Krista Poliza is the coordinator at Trentadue and she is a complete pleasure to work with and on top of everything. The wine is also great at Trentadue — good drinking wine for a wedding/party and not too expensive.

Absolutely amazing setting. Dog and kid friendly. Sit outside in the middle of a mini redwood grove tasting wonderful reds and whites.

This is one of my favorite wineries in Sonoma. They have very beautiful grounds that start with a beautiful drive through the vineyard. Plenty of parking. I find the tasting room a bit small, so it’s very crowded during the busy time. However, there is a beautiful grapevine and trellis covered area with tables outside. They specialize in ports. The chocolate port is by far my most favorite.

Nice grounds and wonderful staff. Still on my search to restock the shortage of ports at home, a friend recommended I try Trentadue. Jackpot, not just one, but five, plus a chocolate wine and a moscato Canelli. It’s a nice drive thru the vineyard off the road to get to the tasting room. The building and the grounds are on the Italian villa side. There is a wonderful outdoor area covered by a trellis filled with grape vines. We walk in and thank heavens they weren’t part of the passport weekend. I’m so sorry I didn’t remember the gal’s name that helped us because she was fabulous. No rush, took her time to explain each port and about the winemaker. We walked out the proud owners of five new lovable bottles of various ports and a membership in the port club.

Love their Port/dessert wines! Their gardens and vines make for a gorgeous drive in and a perfect picnic spot with some wine and cheese. I came here with a group of friends and the pouters knew the wines very well and did a great job making sure we were all enjoying our wines! I highly recommend trying their chocolate dessert wine, as it tastes just like it sounds and is delicious! One of my favorite wineries to visit!

Beautiful grounds, quiet and a great place to have a wedding(my wife and I did). The wine is fantastic but also try the port. We’re members and never hesitate to buy more wine from the Trentadue family. Must stop.

The wine keeps coming! Weddings in wineries are so in! Came here to celebrate my friend’s wedding and it was so much fun. The winery is small, intimate, and breathe taking. I believe, 4pm is a good start time for a fall wedding because 1.) sunsets are just beautiful 2.) the orange in the leaves is amazing and 3.) cold weather wear is just adorable! Love those pea coats and scarfs! The winery staff is very attentive and provide great customer service. The best part is that they really watch to make sure you have enough wine to keep you hydrated on the dance floor! The wine was very delicious and tasty! The food was really good. At most weddings, you have to pick which course you want, not at this wedding! We got to eat both of the courses! Let’s see, the chicken was juicy and tender and the mashed potatoes totally complimented the meal. The salmon was buttery and the rice that accompanied it was fluffy and had the right amount of spice. Yum! The best part is dessert and coffee! We got to try both types of cake. There was red velvet and vanilla. Um, both are quite tasty with coffee. No creamer or sugar! Overall, the winery was intimate and the staff was super friendly! It was such a great wedding!

If you ever want a personable tasting go to Trentadue Winery and ask for Junior. It was one of the best times that I had on our week journey through Sonoma Valley.

Visited Sunday, October 19 and had Leslie and Erica as our hosts. Had a large group of 9 people and they did a nice job. We bought wine here and still got charged a few $ 10 tasting fees which I guess was reasonable considering size of the group. Wine is good but nothing really special. Old Patch red a solid zin-based blend for $ 15; LA Storia series is better and higher priced. Petite sirah was best of the group.

A large group of friends and I came here this past weekend as part of a post college graduation reunion celebration. One of my friends lives around here, and she suggested Trentadue for ports, so I was super stoked because I am a huge fan of ports. Just being in Sonoma and wine country in general gives me the fuzzies. It is absolutely gorgeous anywhere you go. So this plus friends and wine makes for a beautiful weekend. We all did a 5-part tasting here. I absolutely loved the Sangiovese, and soon discovered my love for Tuscan wines in general. The chocolate port at the end of the tasting was also amazing. It was so much fun, and I have never had anything that unique before. We also brought a bunch of food(crackers, cheese, meats) to enjoy in the sitting area outside the tasting room. We also shared a bottle of the Zinfandel, which complemented the food so well. You can very evidently sense notes of berries and plums in the Zinfandel. I highly recommend both the Zinfandel and Sangiovese.

My college friend got married here a few months ago, and I was lucky enough to witness such a beautiful and serene ceremony in an unprecedented setting. This was one of the prettiest weddings I had ever been to, not just because the bride and groom are crazy, good-looking, but the setting was absolutely gorgeous and flawless in every regard. Sonoma Valley is astoundingly gorgeous, there are mountain views, blue skies, and green fields as far as the eye will take you. Trentadue is a simple and pastoral place, but is made ethereal just for being in the middle of Sonoma wine country. We were coming from New York, which hadn’t warmed up the way Cali had back in May, so we lapped up that amazing sunshine, in this rustic, and perfectly bucolic setting. It was much different than the fancypants Coppola Winery right across the freeway, and it suited our tastes more. My fiancé and I had a wonderful time here, not just enjoying the wedding and the views, but the food was excellent, and the service was top-notch, as well. It did get cold at night, but while people were dancing under the moonlight and warmed up with the few heat lamps scattered around, all those concerns became afterthoughts. This was truly a magical experience for my friend who got married and for all their guests, thanks to the good folks at Trentadue!

Came to this winery to specifically try their ports. This winery was our first stop of the day and we were graciously hosted by Beth. She was very pleasant and a joy to talk to as we sampled their entire library. The winery had been around since the late 1960s and we saw the owner(in her 80s) bustling around while we visited. The majority of their wines are red but they are a rarity in that they have a sparkling white and a Chardonnay. Chardonnay was not a favorite but loved the effervescent nature of the sparkling. What can I say about the ports besides Devine! Was not planning on picking any up but we purchased several bottles. Their Angelica, chocolate amore, Petite Sarah and Zinfandel ports were all unique without being overly sweet. Additionally the grounds are lovely and I can see why they host a lot of weddings. One of the few places you can also pick I and they are pet friendly.

Yet another wedding tour… Making an appointment with Alyssa was easy and she was super friendly on our tour. She seemed to be running really late on the day of our tour, but we were greeted with some sparkling wine and sat outside which made the wait a little better. We liked the facilities a lot, especially the grape arbors for dinner. Stunning! While we weren’t crazy about the event ballroom, the outdoor spaces are lovely. The tasting room is very small and we planned to do a tasting after the tour but there was a large group of rowdy 20-somethings(geez I’m getting old when I say things like that) who made it very unpleasant. We decided to try to brave it, but after waiting several minutes with no acknowledgement of our presence, finally gave up when we overheard the guy behind the bar say he didn’t know what a cuvee was… So would I recommend this as an event space, yes. Would I recommend this as a tasting experience, no.

Dessert wines! Port wines! I ended up buying the $ 20 Chocolate Port… so yummy! Would’ve been nice if they waived the $ 5 tasting fee since I bought something…

Trentadue Winery is a great experience from start to finish. This house of ports was impressive from the moment we pulled in the parking lot, which is much larger than most other wineries. As you walk towards the tasting room one can’t help but be drawn to the beautiful grounds. There is a large picnic area which can be rented for parties or weddings and would serve as a wonderful backdrop for either. We went to Trentadue because we had heard so much about their port selection, but there is something else that strikes you as you enter the door to the tasting room; Trentadue’s etched wine bottles. As a college sports fan I was thrilled to see these cool bottles with my favorite schools logos on them. They have all the major schools and will custom make anything they don’t have. These make great gifts for college grads or can provide a one of a kind conversation piece at your tailgate party. Now on to the wine. As stated before, we went to Trentadue because we had heard so much about the ports but they have a lot of other very good varietals as well. For me the Old Patch Red blend and the Merlot were my favorites. All of the ports were good but the Zinfandel Port and Chocolate Amore stood out in the crowd. Our pourer, Shane, was quite knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions regarding the winery.
