Our third trip to Pedroncelli in 26 years and we are never disappointed. Our tasting room hostess, Shirley was outstanding and made us feel like we were visiting family. Their wines are excellent and the atmosphere is worth coming to this somewhat off the path jewel.

This tasting room has a few of things going for it. It is very well-priced. Only $ 5.00 to taste and refunded if you buy a bottle. The workers were very friendly and personable. But, they were the smallest pours I have ever received in my life. It wasn’t even really enough to taste the wine, just a tiny trickle. We didn’t buy because I couldn’t discern if I liked the wine. I don’t expect big pours these days, especially for the low price. But, I would like enough of a pour to really taste the wine. We were out of there in about 8 minutes because the pours were so teeny tiny. If they figure out how to give a bit more in a pour it would probably be a great place to taste.

this was a perfect place for a break on our trip to the Mendocino Coast. this family winery has a lovely shaded picnic area with patio furniture and a beautiful view of the vineyards and pines on the hills. we were greeted by a friendly staff member and had our picnic with their sauvignon blanc which is very good. there is also a professional quality bocci ball court for those wanting a bit of sporting activity. it’s just a short distance from the highway well worth the stop.

This is my favorite place to bring my friends and family. The service is wonderful, they tell you about the wines while they pour them for you,(I love to learn about the wines, that is half the fun). I highly recommend you check them out. They have a super lovely sauv blanc, and literally the best port ONEARTH, I love port and I am kind of picky about them, but their ruby port will blow your mind… make sure to drink it with a piece of chocolate!!!

Not much for scenery but the wines were good. Decent pricing and great customer service. They waived both tasting fees for a bottle of wine. Even though it says only one is waived, they were very generous. A recommended stop if new to the area. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Dry Creek.

Mad house– passport weekend. I really recommend that if you enjoy laid back tastings and talking to the staff, don’t go on a passport weekend Having said that I was drawn here by hearsay that they had a port. I went in among the large crowd and stepped up to the counter. The gentleman said here’s what we are pouring today… I said I’m not really interested in any of those, I was told you make a nice port. He was a little flustered but did walk out into the store floor, retrieved a bottle of port and pour me a taste. Mmmm that brandy instilled warm caramel taste. That’s all I needed. Walked over to the shelf and picked up three bottles. The gentleman came over to the register and I thanked him immensely for his trouble knowing how busy he was with the crowd. I would gladly return and try a few more of their wines and learn about the property, but it will have to be on a quiet day minus a few hundred other people.

Definitely recommend stopping in. Reds are my wines and the Pinot was smooth, light, and nice finish. Petite Sirah medium body with plumy beginning and a hint of spice in the finish. The Port was sweet but just the right amount of sweetness. Service was wonderful and the dark chocolate topped off the tasting!

Sadly, I’ve never been to this winery, so my review is more about their wine. I’ve been ordering Pedroncelli wines online for a couple of years now, and they’ve quickly become favorites. The quality-price-ratio really can’t be beat! The Mother Clone Zinfandel is my top choice, but I enjoy all the reds from this winery, including the Merlot(which is saying a lot, because I’m not a Merlot drinker). The Sangiovese is also top notch, along with their Cabs. If you have a chance to buy any of these wines, go for it! You won’t regret it!

My mom and I went out wine tasting for her birthday today and this place was on her list. I live in Sonoma county and my parents are staying at their time share in Windsor, which also allows them free wine tasting at certain places and this happened to be one of them. We pulled up and the view was gorgeous and the tasting room looked promising. We walked in and right off the bat I noticed that it smelled like there was a sewage leak. This isn’t what bothered me. The tasting bar was about halfway full and there was one woman manning the counter so we decided to look around the gift shop. After a couple minutes she says«I set you guys up over here» like we were wasting her time. My mom mentioned to her that we were staying at their time share and the woman sighed and rolled her eyes and said we could pick five for a complimentary tasting. My mom had chosen this place because it’s advertised as having a nice Sangiovese which wasn’t listed. She started to ask about it and the woman just walked away from her. She was incredibly rude to us and acted like we were an inconvenience to her by being there, so we walked right out without a word from her. I’m sure this place is lovely and other pourers are well worth it, and I’m giving it two stars instead of one because the property and the tasting room are gorgeous. But based off of our experience, we will not be returning to this winery again.

My girlfriend and I went on a wine tour of wineries around the Healdsburg area last July. We went to 5 wineries, and although all of them were very good, some were better than others. Pedroncelli was one of them. The winery is very scenic outside and inside it’s very spacious. They have a barrel room in the back where much of the wine is aged: very nice to look at while you are sipping on the wine. We bought a bottle of the 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon. It was one of the best wines we tasted during our stay in CA wine country. Unfortunately when we opened the wine a month or two later, we found that the cork had gone bad. This is not a bad reflection on the winery, it is just something that happens with corks. We contacted the winery about it and they were kind enough to replace it for us! But then… bad luck again. The shipment never got to us even though we had a shipping confirmation. So they shipped again to only have it break in shipment. So we contacted the winery again… they were super patient and more than happy to try again. This time it got to us! And the wine? It was worth the wait. Really a well run establishment with very good wine.

The servers were the best of the trip so far. Very fun and hospitable. Wines are very nice and some amazing deals as well. A must stop if you’re this far north.

Come for the port and, most importantly, for the view; leave the wines untasted. These are the most beautiful grounds we found in the area — the vineyard curves around a hill, and in November the entire hillside is set ablaze by the reds and yellows of the turning vines. We did the tasting, which was uninspiring, minus a pretty good port. On ths plus side, they gave each of us a glass of the port to wander the grounds with. We spent an hour walking around the vineyards, and it was without a doubt the prettiest part of our whole trip.

The Mother Clone Dry Creek ZInfandel is very nice and at a great price for this kind of quality. It is a very good buy. Sadly, the rest of the line-up is just supermarket quality wines which ended up in the dump bucket everytime.

This was a good overall experience. It just so happened we didn’t like that many of their wines but we will come back to try again. The server was pleasant and his knowledge was there. The tasting room was also pleasant. The pricing was mid-range.

Very nice & friendly staff. The facilities are very small and simple. The wines are not that impressive. Not worth the drive, unless you are in the area already and have a Visa signature card.

The Pedroncelli tasting room seems to be filled with history. The same family is still running it and everyone has a role in the business. The wines are great. They make a lovely Rose, some well balanced cabs and a port that is delicious; just to name a few. Not sure how they do it, but the prices are extremely affordable. The staff is wonderful, probably since they are all related and are well vested into making it a great experience.

I was skeptical about this winery when I saw it from outside. I don’t want to judge the book by its cover and decided to give it a try. Very friendly staff, the guy who was helping me was extremely knowledgeable about the wine regions, soil, aging and any other question I asked about their wines. Sorry bro, can’t recollect your name so using a description so that it might help folks to come to you, he is a middle aged, slightly overweight person with the glasses. Quick Tip: IMHO, their Zins are the best.

This was our third stop today during the barrel weekend event. The folks here are very friendly, the wines are great too! My three favs at this place(today), are: –2010 future cab; tasted this out of the barrel. I also paired it with the soft chedder cheese and walnut baguette they were serving. mm mmm mmmm –Dessert port(4 grape blend). This was paired with chocolate. I was also told that they get the grapes from Raymod Burr! +++ This was excellent! –Jeanna our server in the tasting room. You are fantastic! Thank you for your knowledge and charm! P. S. This place also makes one of the best rose’s I have had. Year after year I might add.

We chose to go here because of all the good reviews and promise of reasonably priced wine which after a few of the places we visited this day my budget was in dire need of. I really liked their whites, I bought a bottle of the sauv blanc and I opened it the other night and was wishing I had bought more, I remember also really liking their chard and wishing I would have bought that as well, may have to do some online ordering. The port was awesome but as for their reds I just wasn’t feeling them. They weren’t horrible or poorly made, just something in the flavor profile wasn’t my style, which after tasting at a couple more wineries in the Dry Creek area the next day I’m finding this may just not be my area for reds. Tasting room was large and empty on the late sunday afternoon we were there so service was good. Nice wine, nice prices and nice people… can’t go wrong there.

This family owned winery was the first one on our trip. There is never a tasting fee and they suggest you taste 4 or 5 wines. The young lady who was behind the counter was extremely friendly. We went in the back and took pixs of all the barrels of wine. The outside was nice and had a picnic area. We tasted the Sauvignon Blanc, a Chardonnay, the Dry Rose Zinfandel. They had lots of red wines but I don’t really care for red and did not try them. The bottles we tasted sold for 10 – 14 dollars. We liked all the wines but bought the Sauvignon Blanc. We drank it that night with our dinner. We would have bought more but we were leaving for home and our state will not let you ship wines. The law has changed but apparently we were told the distributor has to pay a fee and I am not sure how many small CA wineries will bother about paying it. We enjoy our visit there and would go back again.
