We went here based on all of the great reviews, however we were very disappointed. Service was slow and very unfriendly. It was communal seating which was unexpected and awkward. All they really offer is breakfast sandwiches, except on weekends. The gluten free menu is especially small and the bread is dry and grainy. If you have Celiac like I do, I understand these problems are prominent at many restaurants. However, when a place comes so highly recommend for celiacs I expected more. In short I wouldn’t waste my time or money, especially during the the week.

This coffee shop was a truly genuine local experience and it’s worth the time to just live for the moment and sit down and let Mom serve you a coffee and breakfast and converse with some of the most high spirited seniors who may also be there. Mom also has a gluten-free menu, which is was brought us here in the first place. My wife and I had the egg square sandwiches. Mine had sausage and her’s had ham served with a gluten-free muffin. Mom’s late husband suffered from from celiac disease, so gluten free is important for her and she can suggest other local places that serve gluten-free foods. We sat at the single long table with 5 locals of which, four were seniors who had lived in Gettysburg for over 55 years each. One lady said she went to the Mead School before it became the Federal Point Inn. The food was delicious and so was the coffee with free-refills since we were in no rush to leave because the conversations were priceless. It’s a place like this one that gives true meaning to what’s important in life. Two very big thumbs up!

Wonderful homey place. On the morning we met it was full of local ladies who were very friendly. We enjoyed visiting with them. The breakfast sandwiches were a yummy, heathy, inexpensive breakfast

I was looking for a cozy place for breakfast without the noise and crowds. Moms scored on that but missed the mark otherwise. Maybe it was an off day. A couple of locals were there. Mom was there but not friendly or attentive. The place is small and cluttered. My bacon and egg on an English muffin appeared to be microwaved although the egg itself was tender. Salt and ground pepper had been already added. I don’t eat ground pepper. My orange juice came in a mug and was large and refreshing. A good value at $ 5.00 but I probably won’t bother again.

Visiting Gettysburg for the first time and wanted to try a local breakfast place. Looked on Unilocal and found this place… Tried it… The sandwiches were microwaved. Quaint but very disappointed.

What a wonderful little café in gettysburg! I’m a local and have been driving past for years. Finally decided to stop in and was surprised with the coziness of this restaurant. Very quaint place! The gf cupcakes were very good.

Good coffee and a great cozy atmosphere — tasty little breakfast menu too. We went mid morning and enjoyed the meal and the conversation. Great place to get a lazy tourist morning started in G-burg.

Visiting and looking for a spot of breakfast and quiet time. The owner, customers and I had a great time in a low noise friendly environment. Comfortable chairs, newspapers. You can chat make a new friend or enjoy a cup or two and read the paper. NOSTRESS or hustle bustle. Nice place and will be OUR stop when in town. We will make sure this hits both of our company’s web sites as a must for staff traveling in the area.

Celiacs of the world, this is a place that you have to stop by if you’re ever in Gettysburg. She has an extensive gluten-free menu that also happens to be delicious. All of her gluten free food is Celiac safe(her husband has the disease), and she even goes as far as to bake her own bread made out of Millet. It’s very cool little place, and the owner is an expert on Celiac disease. She spent an hour talking to my girlfriend and I about the disease, and I learned a great deal from her. Celiac or not(but especially if you’re a Celiac), this place is worth a stop.

Stopped here for breakfast after doing a search on Unilocal.Wow! What a great mostly locals spot. Very small but very cozy. I counted 5 small tables and a large corner sofa with lots of reading material and some local art on the walls. It’s one of those places you find yourself immediately comfortable and in a conversation. At first glance the menu seems small but it offers everything you need. They claim to have the best coffee in Gettysburg and I found no reason to disagree. Great selection of coffee and very fresh. The food was amazing as well. Probably the best oatmeal I’ve had and I’m not sure of what goes in to making the square egg portions, but they are fantastic. If I lived in Gettysburg I could see coming here daily. If you’re looking for local, different, and great… this is it.

For years, I’ve been starting my day with coffee and conversation at Mom’s Coffee Pot, where you can always find gluten-free items on their breakfast and lunch menu. Delicious homemade soups, muffins, cookies, and more. This isn’t nouveau cuisine. Just good, simple food at reasonable prices, served by friendly people. In warm weather months, you’ll find Mom’s Coffee Pot on Lincoln Square, at the Gettysburg Farmer’s Market.
