Sorry, but I ordered eggplant parmesan dinner, it was like cutting into a brick, I had one bite and that was too much., the cheese was hard as well. The salad was OK, can’t go wrong with lettuce I guess., will not be a return customer.

Lots of good food here — the bruschetta is addictive — simple but amazing! Had dinner last night(traveling here) and came back for lunch to get more bruschetta!!! Pizza and pasta are great– meatballs are surprisingly good, with all tomato sauces tasting fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious!!! You wanna drink the tomato sauce!

My husband and I came here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Most of the dinner entrees come with a salad of your choice, and there was a house-made pesto with olive oil to go with the complementary fresh bread. We had some calamari as an appetizer– awesome– then my husband had the shrimp diavolo, and I had their trio dish. Both were well-portioned; we couldn’t finish them after our salads, bread, and appetizers, and both were delicious. Here are my only reasons for docking them a star: 1. The décor made it look like it had previously been a Mexican restaurant that they made a half-assed attempt to turn Italian. 2. Extensive beer list, but wine was BYOB. it would have been nice for that info to have been posted or available somewhere. Overall, we were impressed by this place. We’ve been told we have champagne tastes on a beer budget, and this place fits that.

Good hearty meals at reasonable prices, but they only served beer, and not wine — which to me is like a German restaurant serving only wine and not beer — but the waiter said it was because all of the wine licenses were taken by restaurants in town. The décor was lovely with artistic murals and items from Italy; and the wait staff was pleasant and efficient. I would come here again next time I pass through.

Don’t come by yourself for a slice or two of pizza. You will be offered the child’s menu. No kidding. And the second chair at your table is whisked away as a stepstool for the staff. Before they ask if anyone is joining you. Sorry guys. You seem to do fine with families but stay away if you are by yourself. As a woman.

I was first here in 2007 when I came here for reenactment weekend. It was near our hotel so we came here after walking 9 miles on he battlefield immediately following a 1100m drive for 21 hours. My first meal was the Zuppa di pesce. It was the first meal I ever photographed. It was beautiful and the taste was mind blowing. We then ordered the behemoth of a Sicilian pizza that fed us for a couple of day. It still ranks as my comparison to that style of pizza. Our family was on a road trip and today stopped in the town for the history and specifically this restaurant. It’s beautiful and flavorful. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

My family and I visited this casual restaurant tonight and found the food to be average, we all had pasta dishes, and mine was warm, but not hot. Good salads, though. The atmosphere is cozy, but quite loud due to the stone walls. And if you like a little wine with your Italian food(like we do), BRINGIT, as they serve only beer.

So much beauty in one restaurant. I didn’t want to be rude, so i refrained from taking any pictures… i don’t think the other Patrons would have appreciated the lack of privacy. Upon Entering was like walking into another country… somewhere in Italy, the walls decorated with scenery of vast green fields and luster. The waiter, a handsome young Italian gentlemen, and the waitresses matched the beauty throughout. Impressed with the fast service, and the big portions of food. From hoagies to Pasta, Manacotti to Lasagna. Everything perfectly laid out and flavored to kiss my fingertips«Muah! Bellissimo!!»

Ordered the Stromboli, large pepperoni pizza, and chicken parm sub. Food was excellent and came out fast. Had to wait on drink refills and had to wave the server down.

We ordered a to-go cheesesteak pizza without onions. Good thing I popped the lid to double check it before leaving. It was loaded with onions! I told the man(owner?) and he had a fresh pizza w/o onions made. Said I could take the onion pizza home — no charge. Really??? Why would I want an incorrect order? We gave the restsurant a second chance when we tried it a few months later. It was early on a Friday or Saturday night and it was busy. Hubby ordered spaghetti & meatballs. I ordered a pasta dish without onions. It came loaded with onions. The waitress was nice and offered to bring me something else but at that point, my hubby would have been done eating and I’d have to eat alone or pack my dinner to go. And then, I would still need to find dinner for myself. Hubby said his meal was good. I gave this restaurant two try’s to get a simple pizza and a standard pasta dish as I ordered it correct and they failed twice. Why should I give them a third chance? I would NOT recommend this restaurant if you want your dish the way you want it.

OMG! So very very good!!! The place was very nice. Staff was very pleasant. The food amazing!!! My son had there pizza and looked so good and was huge for a child’s pizza. My other son had there spaghetti as did I and was so so delicious!!! The bread and oil dip was very good. My husband had their veal parmesan and he said it tasted so good that it reminded him of a place back home that has since closed! I totally recommend this place for out of towners!!!

I’m a local and have been coming to this restaurant since the beginning! I’m not a huge fan of pasta… or any Italian food, but I LOVE this restaurant. Their bread is amazing ! Last time, I ordered the mussels appetizer with orzo and it was amazing!

Good food. Authentic homemade. Consistently good. Oil and pesto accompanies your bread. They serve bottles of beer, but NOWINE. Major disappointment to not have wine with Italian food.

We have ordered pizza and subs here about 6 or 7 times. Only once was our order correct. I called to complain. and after I explained what the problems were was told OK we will get it right next time. HUH?!? There are not a lot of places to eat around here, so we go back. I say we have gotten incorrect orders in the past may I speak to the owner or manager? She says that’s OK what’s wrong(again I complain. again it’s wrong) I used to own resteraunts. I am sorry our order was never offered to us at a discount or free… we have had enough, our friends won’t be going there anymore either. Have a nice day…

We have eaten here multiple times and it gets better every time. And that is saying something since it started out delicious. Always fresh and homemade even the salad dressing is perfection. Our favorites are the meat ravioli and the lasagna. My bf, who has been to Italy, says this is the best Italian he has had in the states. Just wonderful! A must eat in Gettysburg!

As Gburg Alum, «Bella» was one of my favorite haunts for good pizza. I was born in a self-proclaimed pizza capital, and finding a great pie is quite difficult outside of NEPA. La Bella’s pies really do the trick. When I returned for a recent homecoming, I noticed that they completely renovated the place! It looked really great. Can’t wait to have another nostalgic slice when I visit again next fall!

Wanted to have a better dinner after a long day of visiting the battlefield. Found this place on Unilocal and the family decided of the options around the area this was the best. Location is a little outside the usual Gettysburg tourist area, but reasonably easy to find. We were quickly seated and the wait staff was friendly. Restaurant has a decent amount of seating and an interesting decour. They serve Coke products and have Mr. Pibb! We ordered at wide range of dinners including Baked Stuffed Shells, Chicken Sandwich w/French Fries, Ravioli, and Spaghetti w/Meat Sauce. Pre-meal salads were fresh and delicious and I usually do not like salads. Bread was good, served with a mixture of herbs/spices and olive oil. Main courses were delicious; the Baked Stuffed Shells looked small at first but ended up being a large portion. Chicken Sandwich was huge and French Fries were well prepared and delicious. The Spaghetti could have had more sauce, but that’s a personal preference. Prices were reasonable for a family of four out to dinner. Absolutely worth a stop if you’re looking for a quality meal in the Gettysburg area.
