If you want free coffee 24 hours a day, free WiFi, free breakfast, and extremely comfortable rooms, stay at the Sleep Inn a block away. That is my usual place, but I am stuck in this nickel and dime hell hole outside of my control. To make it hurt even worse, I saw my beloved Sleep Inn while turning in here. God, this will not happen again.

Brand new hotel. Nice modern rooms. Friendly service at the front desk. It was convenient(about a 5 minute drive) to downtown Gettysburg and the battlefields.

We selected the Courtyard Gettysburg while visiting the battlefield for the first time, based on other online reviews of hotels in the area, as well as the price offered at the Courtyard. Of course I had high expectations for this hotel, since it is a Marriott, but I was so impressed by the how clean and up-to-date this hotel is. Our room literally smelled brand new. It is very clear that many updates have been done to this hotel, including new lobby, new common area décor, and updated rooms. The front desk staff was courteous and professional. Parking is plentiful and free. The pool and Jacuzzi are OK — Nothing too over-the-top or opulent, but perfect for relaxing at the end of a long summer day. The only complaint I have is that there was a group of 5 unattended young kids in the pool area for a couple of hours late into the evening(I arrived at 8:30 p.m., and they were there when I got there). They were very boisterous(repeated diving and cannon balls into the very small 5-foot-deep pool, lots of yelling and running and splashing, etc.), and definitely detracted from the relaxing aspect of the pool. Several hotel employees walked through the pool area during the 2 hours I was there, and didn’t say anything to the kids about being unattended, or being disruptive to other guests. However — I guess their parents should be the ones to blame, and not the hotel itself.

I had pretty low expectations for the hotel, but was pleasantly surprised when I got into the room! The exterior and lobby weren’t great, but the room was actually very spacious, and looked newly remodeled. Nice furniture, Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner, although not a great view of parking lot. Pretty happy with the room! Four stars for room, 3 stars for everything else(location, view, etc.)

9÷1÷2013 We spent a couple of nights here, away from the heavier touristed areas of Gettysburg. The location is good. The staff was friendly. The bed was soft, uncomfortably soft, with a noticeable roll towards the center. The bed is a SMALL king-sized bed. 72″ is the width I measured; not the 76″ which is more common. The room was nicely decorated and clean. The AC was inconsistent in its ability to control the temperature, but overall acceptable. The bathroom was large and the tub has a seat at one end, which my wife enjoyed while soaking her aching feet. Breakfast is not free, but a decent buffet exists and cook-to-order omelets and eggs can be had. It is possible to order a few items off of menus, but why bother. The price was reasonable. The eating area is quite comfortable.

Not quite sure what the issue is with the TV’s in the reviews, but when I stayed here I had no problems with it. The mattresses were fine, the towels were great. Front desk staff was very polite and friendly, they were even training someone at the time. The check in didn’t take long either despite someone new working. Nice little cocktail lounge for a night cap. Walking distance to a movie theater if that’s your thing, and not located far from the center of town.

Stayed here on a business trip. Nice hotel. Nice lobby. The rooms are the same as most Courtyards. Its only 2.4 miles from town. I went into town for dinner. Easy check in. Glad i picked this one. Its hard to go wrong at a Marriott. Good service. If you want to watch a movie. They have one right next store. Ask the front desk for discount tickets. Stayed January 2012, traveled on business

Had a nice one night stay here a few weeks ago. The lobby was very spacious and obviously brand new but it also seemed really dark when we arrived(around 10:30pm). Maybe it just seemed really dark because the restaurant was closed. Our check-in was ridiculously quick. Almost too quick. The agent clearly wanted us in and out and not have much more to do with us. The room was appointed well though it did have an «old» style TV which surprised me because the whole hotel seemed so new. The beds were comfy and I slept like a log. We didn’t interact with many other staffers and didn’t use the hotel for much more than sleeping but it was a good experience.

Stayed here for one night while visiting Gettysburg. It was fine, just not up to normal Marriot standards. – tv was old school and in a terrible location, could not be seen from bed – mattress was broken down – pillows were very old and provided no support – towels small and treadbare Front desk staff was very helpful. Room was clean. Noise travel was pretty average. Woke up with a neck ache from pillows. There are two restaurants within walking distance, one standard American bar fare and the other Italian.

A nice new Courtyard in Gettysburg… having a cinema and a few restaurants within walking distance is great if you’re only staying the night. Other than a helpful staff, there is nothing extraordinarily special about the place, just a good place to stay if you’re in Gettysburg.

Stayed here for work and although I was bored out of my mind, the hotel was decent. It’s a typical Marriott Courtyard. Designed with the business traveler in mind. Free Internet access. Lots of outlets to plug in all your gadgets. Free parking. Nice size bathroom. You need a car if you want to eat other than restaurant food. Local fast food: Burger King, KFC, Subway, Arby’s, Wendy’s and of course McDonalds. There are two restaurants just outside the hotel lobby door and another inside the Wyndham Hotel next door.

The Courtyard Gettysburg is a fairly new hotel located off of York Rd in Gettysburg. It is located right next door to the Wyndham, a movie theater, and a catering hall. I have spent many a night in Courtyards all over the place. In fact, I’ve spent around 150 nights in hotels so far this year. Overall, this Courtyard is exactly the same as every other one that has been built or updated recently. The furniture is the same, the toiletries are the same, and the room layout is pretty much the same. If you have not stayed in another Courtyard, I will say that they are fairly nice, as far as hotels go. They are a midrange hotel. They are not full service hotels, so they do not have an onsite restaurant(although they do serve breakfast — not included — and have a bar that’s open in the evenings). I’m very picky about hotels that I stay in and I have to say that this Courtyard and every Courtyard I’ve stayed in(so far) are good hotels. They are definitely better than a Fairfield Inn, but of course, they are not as good as a full service Marriott, Renaissance, Westin, etc. This hotel was a great value, you get way more than what you would expect for the price. I only paid around $ 120 per night including tax. Like most non-full service Marriotts, they have a small market in the lobby where you can purchase microwaveable food(there is a microwave in the market that you can use), soda, ice cream, candy, and trial size items. Now that I’ve told you how this Courtyard is exactly the same as every other hotel, let me tell you how it is different. The staff is very courteous and helpful, I was treated very well as a Marriot Rewards Platinum member. There is plenty of free parking right at the hotel and you can walk(or drive) right across the lot to a movie theater. There is free wired internet in every room, which is definitely nice to have. If I’m in the Gettysburg area again, I will be staying here.

Nice, new hotel located outside of Gettysburg near Route 15. There is a cinema and a couple new restaurants next door. Check in was quick and easy, the staff was very nice. We really appreciated our beautiful room. Lots of nice touches. We would stay here again.
