Before I did a corporate relocation in March of 2009 to Germantown TN, I flew to town in mid December of 2008 and checked out the apartments in the area. My first choice was this place because: 1. The price was reasonable. 2. The place is well maintained. 3. The beautiful environment(lakes on the property that you can fish from). 4. Washer and dryer hookups in each unit and a laundry room. 5. On site gym. 6. Close proximity to restaurants and shopping. 7. They accept pets(cats and dogs). 8. They have a pool. 9. Decent size units. 10. Tons of parking. 11. And as a bonus, they have a car wash area! I was not able to see the apartment in person before I rented it as I did not live in TN. The staff was nice enough to take pictures of the inside and outside of the unit and email them to me. I put a lot of trust in them and fortunately, everything worked out. Since my plane did not land until after business hours, the staff was nice enough to leave the front door of my new apartment unlocked and hide my keys inside. This was extremely risky but was the only option that I had(I would not do this again!). I had a few negative experiences here. They were: 1. I received a note on my door one day saying that management was replacing the windows in my unit. I thought everything was fine when I got home but when I took a closer look, I noticed a lot of broken glass on the carpet. And, I noticed one of my cats limping. The maintenance people did a terrible job of cleaning up and one of my cats had glass in between one of his toes! I was very lucky that I was able to pull it out. I put the glass in a bag and took it to the rental office and they apologized and had someone come over to vacuum. 2. At move out time, I was told that a bill would be sent to me for monies owed. Two weeks later, I received it and paid it right away. A few years later when I went to rent an apartment in San Diego, I was told(after a background check) that I had been evicted from this place which wasn’t true. I was also told that there was a judgment against me for $ 0. AREYOUSERIOUS??? How can you get a $ 0 judgment against you? Even though I paid the money that was owed(and confirmed this with their attorney), this is still on my rental record and I can’t get it off! I have to keep showing the ledger from this place(available upon request) and explain to each apartment manager that the judgment was a mistake. This is beyond ridiculous not to mention inconvenient!!! 3. When I walked in my apartment for the first time(at move-in), the windows were left open by management because of the heat. I let the cats out of their carrier and a short time later, I watched one of my cats hop up on the windowsill and literally walk right through the screen. I had to grab him quick before he fell to the first floor! Upon closer inspection, there was a huge rip in the screen. Management fixed this shortly after I reported it. 4. The last negative experience is that I got«nickel and dimed» by management for each item inside of my apartment that was cleaned upon move out which was a lot more expensive than charging a flat cleaning fee. All in all, this place is really nice but with the issues that I had, I am not sure if I would live here again or recommend it to others.

I wish I could give lower than one star. The apartment I was given has stains on the carpet and counters, several lights were out, and it was INFESTED with spiders and other bugs. I am on my fourth week without light bulbs in the closets or hall(despite several promises to have someone sent in).
