I have always order out bun with grilled park and vegetarian rolls and crispy grilled pork patty rolls but I decided to try something new. So I Had bun ba hue for the first time for a long time, was so good. This one made it to perfection! Love the taste and the meat is fresh not old left over like other place. WASSOYUMMY! ALSO vegetarian rolls was delicious! My daughter got phở #1 was good as well.

I’ve been here two times and ordered the G4 — grilled beef skewers on vermicelli noodles — and it was delicious, both times. You can also opt for rice with anything on the«G» menu, but I’m a noodle fan so I haven’t tried the rice here. The bowl is Donald Trump yuuuuuuge and again, both times I failed to completely finish everything, so if you’re a snacker or eat like a bird, you could probably get 2 – 3 meals out of one bowl. Luckily, my boyfriend is basically a human vacuum cleaner when it comes to food, so he finished off the remnants at the restaurant. Most recently, I tried the grilled chicken spring rolls, which were stuffed with veggies and come with a sweet peanut dipping sauce. My boyfriend has also tried the durian bubble tea. I refused to try it because durian freaks me out, but I smelled it and it didn’t really smell as terrible as I had heard it described. My boyfriend said it had a slight vanilla flavor, but that might be due to what it is mixed with. He definitely liked it, and one guy there on the waitstaff was very helpful in determining whether to order the durian bubble tea or go with something more ‘safe.‘ Sunday night when I went, we had an inexperienced server who apparently forgot we were still waiting to pay, and we had to ask one of the other servers to give us our check. Other than that(maybe she had a long night or went home, who knows?) the service is good and I will definitely be back, especially since it is close to home!

This place changed since my initial visit. We came here often since my parents and grandparents enjoyed the service and food. My phở was large and for 8.95 is was a good deal. The broth didnt have the overall depth of flavor as I would have liked but it was overall and enjoyable meal. The Vietnamese egg rolls are on point. They use rice paper and the outside is crispy yet chewy at the same time. The Special Banh Mi is good and for 4.50, not exactly Eden cheap, overall a satisfying entrée. The service is great. It’s a family owned restaurant and the staff is very friendly.

Good phở for a good price. Usually great service except the last time my mom and I went we had to ask for the bean sprout and vegetables. Turns out they ran out of bean sprouts that day. Other than that, I’ve never been disappointed by this restaurant.

I have been to many Vietnamese places and I think this is the best! I have tried varied banh mi anywhere but this the best Banh mi sandwiches hands down! Everything is fresh. Menu has improved and new veggies menu. Great service. New appetizers. Definitely coming back here again!

I visited this restaurant for the first time this past weekend. The flank and brisket phở was pretty good although I thought the broth was a little bland. After adding the sauces, it was on point. Maybe they leave room for you to dress it up. The seasoned beef wrapped it olive leaves with peanut sauce-I’m addicted, loved it! Restaurant is clean and comfortable.

Excellent phở, best I’ve had in a while. Surprised at the negative service reviews. We found them to be extremely attentive and friendly. We’ve been here 3x now and quite consistent.

I love phở. I tried this place for the first time and wasn’t impressed. It was the saltiest broth I have ever tasted. I had to add water to it and it was still too salty. Other than the saltiness, I guess everything else involving the food was fine. I probably have high blood pressure after eating here, so its safe to say I won’t be back.

I would give this place a 5 star because of their food, soup is always hot, delicious and ready. Their summer rolls are awesome, just make sure you specify if you’re not a pork person. Im a dine in person, i gotta do carry out in this place becauseeeee i love their food. It’s very unfortunate to say the service is probably the worst in the germantown area, I’ve had better service at a Mcdonalds drive thru. The new guy(Asian) guy is ok. Watch out for the older spanish lady, she is very mean. I asked her for chopsticks, rolled her eyes, asked for a couple other things, pretty much slammed it down to the table. I was ready to get up and leave my soup because of the service. TOTALLYRUINSYOUREXPERIENCE. management needs to tell her to cool it because it seems like its more a of a problem to assist then to deliver an awesome soup/experience. I would hate to have to go to another phở, this is close to home.

I’m grateful for this place for bothering with veggie options! I understand purest who think phở has to be made with bone broth… but, hey, I like a noodle soup, too! I’ve only ever got carry-out, and I think phở is better not wrapped up in to-go plastic bags – part of the 3-stars. I’ll review again if I dine-in. Everything is packaged up nicely, and always fast and hot! Food: The crunch veg spring rolls are tasty. The filling is mushy, rather than chunky. Husband likes the filling. I prefer a bit more texture. But, the flavor and the dipping sauce is good. Same goes for the veg phở – broth is flavorful, if a little too ginger-y for me. All the add-ins are good. One time I got three onion options(white/raw, scallions, and crispy fried), another time I didn’t. Options are better! I do love the local option on a cold or rainy day!

The food is good but it looks dirty and smell funny when you walk in. The service could be better. They should smile more!!! The prices are not bad.

Summer rolls are delicious. Good vegetarian phở. Generous portions. Always bustling in here. The servers move as quickly as they can. They have a lot of delicious menu items. If you do a takeout order, call in advance. Take out orders are a little slow. The servers are not overly friendly or chatty, but the one described as «mean» by another Unilocaler, spoke to me today and asked me how I was doing. So that’s always nice to be remembered at a place you frequent. Give this place a try.

Food is great. Service is horrible. Asthetics looks horrible. Very dirty! Ps. One of the two Spanish woman that run the restaurant always look annoyed especially when you ask for extra sauce. Management needs to rebrand themselves if they want to stay relevant as more phở spots open.

Three things: 1. The Phở is good, but not amazing. The rare ribeye is my fav, although sometimes I go for the flank and tendon. 2. Their summer rolls are poorly rolled. I mean, fold the ends, then tighten the middle; it’s summer roll 101. 3. The meat quality is a little lower than you might expect. I still think this is a solid 4 Star Phở joint, but the pork in particular is a little iffy.

4 years later and I still dine at Phở House frequently. So nice to see the familiar faces of the servers, who are very attentive. Phở is still delicious, as are the spring rolls and the avocado boba smoothie — don’t knock it ’til you try it! My go-to phở spot for as long as I live in the Germantown area!

Super disappointed. I used to go here a lot but service has changed a lot! I used to love their banh mi, bun bo hue and bun rieu but its not the same. Bun rieu on the menu it even said tofu and other meats but there were no tofu and«rieu» was just bits probably from the bottom of the pot, not big junks like normal. They barely gave us noodles(for carryout) and gave us the veggies for phở. #unsatisified

Solid 3 stars. Family’s been occasionally phở’ing it up at PH ever since they first opened in 2002(then again in 2007 me thinks?). So it’s more nostalgic eats. Back in the day this spot was memorable since it was the only phở joint out in the G-boonies. They monopolized G-town ’til Phở 81 entered the scene in 2007. I know what you’re thinkin’…research much? lol Well, after a round of golf or a bucket-o-ballz at the driving range, dad and/or bros would end the journey with a bowl of phở. We also ordered carry-out for mom since she enjoyed rice noodles and PH was close enough where the thin noodles wouldn’t be overly sticky(rip dad/mom — miss ya). Let me get off Memory Lane… The broth was an acceptable standard — had the familiar properties to gastronomically bloat and warm the belly. Thin rice noodles were bouncy as expected. I had the small #3 brisket and flank. Of course ’twas loaded up w/sriracha and included the customary side plate of jalapeños, basil, and beansprouts(no thanks to the lime wedgies). Here’s the thing that makes you go hrmmmmmm… Not sure why a small bowl is priced so high at $ 7.50 especially for Germantown. All I can share is that they’re quite fortunate to be in good olé accepting G-town. In the end I guess it’s a matter of convenience. For the nephew though, phở = PH so I’m shruggingly par with that. Oh, he shoveled the large bowl of #15 eye round steak partially raw($ 8.50). Neph only slurps the rice noodles(yeah, he’s that guy w/the fork) and gnaws on the eye round so he also snacked on orders of their 2 garden rolls and 2 crispy rolls(each $ 4.25). In the end Neph was sorta kinda full so we headed to Lotte Plaza Market next door for some pastries. PH is a prettier phở dive with dark leather/pleather seats and you may actually choose where you sit when it’s not busy. Usual set-up — be seated, order w/server, consume, then head to the back for the bill and pay there too. At these prices credit/debit cards are accepted. They tend to have a heavy tongue so do the universal ear gesture as I did and they’ll lay the bill to point at the total :) I for serious gave the gentleman a «huh» look… maybe the sodium went up my ears. You’re going to share parking with neighboring Lotte so be careful especially on the weekends.

So nestled right next to the lotte market and I almost didn’t notice this place. The décor needs some updating … but the service is good. The broth is good. The meat is good. Toppings are good. Noodles are good. Not my fav phở in he area, but it is good :)
