Great American style Mexican restaurant. Be sure to ask for the spicy salsa if you want something with more of a kick! My family always gets veggie enchiladas, and the restaurant is very accommodating of our vegetarian diet.

This place reeks of sewage. Looking at past comments, this isn’t a new problem, but they haven’t fixed it in years. Disgusting. Won’t be back unless I hear it’s been fixed permanently.

Love this place! You’ll be seated almost immediately and the food takes no more than 20minutes to come out. Fresh food !

We had a very enjoyable meal at Mi Rancho. We shared a fajita for two(mixed chicken and beef, 1lb). We think the quality of meat is good. The beef was cooked just right. We like the chips and salsa too. The ambiance and music feel authentic.

Nice casual place for dinner. The salsa and chips are great. Usually get a taco salad with grilled chicken or steak. In the summer you can smell them grilling long before you hit their door.

Outstanding place. Owners are very friendly and kind. I like to go once a week and share the steak fajitas with my wife. Salsa is fantastic as well as the fresh tortillas.

Casual, family-friendly restaurant that serves reliably tasty and fresh Mexican food. Yes, this is a casual restaurant, and yes it serves the usual Mexican fare, and yes it is technically part of a chain(a small one, I might note), but their food is good and I’ve always had a positive experience here. The service is consistently very friendly and attentive, and while it’s a large and popular restaurant, I’ve never found it to be too noisy. I go there often with my family, and even the pickiest of us finds several tantalizing dishes. Me — I always go for the vegetable fajitas. Simple but delicious, and pretty nutritious. My parents like the beef burritos, and we all enjoy the fried ice cream for dessert. They always have fresh chips — emphasis on fresh — and salsa ready when you sit down, and their tortillas are also made fresh and in-house(fresh tortillas make all the difference). Oh, and if you like to drink, their sangrias are pretty delicious!

I’m giving this place 2 stars solely on the food. It was mediocre at best. One of my friends got a margarita to start that was pretty good while my other friend got a mojito that tasted like soda water with some sugar and mint in it. You couldn’t taste the rum at all and he said it sucked. I agreed it was pretty bad for a mojito. Then they got the queso that was actually just a bunch of melted cheese that isn’t bad in my opinion, but not the kind of thing you would want to dip your chips in. They served it with tortillas so it may as well been a quesadilla. I got some shrimp that came out on a skillet that were okay, but not worth the $ 20 and my other friends plates didn’t look all that appealing for the high price tag they had. Last was the desert which I got flan. If the flan sucks at a Mexican place then the place sucks. And the flan was terrible. Don’t go here. If you’re gonna spend this much on Mexican food go to Guapo’s

One of the few places with a patio large enough for outdoor seating in Germantown that fits more than a couple of tables. A great place to dine outside when the weather’s nice. At certain times in the afternoon the sun can be hard to escape, blasting you despite the umbrellas. Bring shades and sunscreen. Plenty of indoor tables too. The décor is not bad. A few deer heads mounted on the wall for some reason(Mexican deer?) Food is good and fresh, servers are efficient. Nothing really to complain about if you want Mexican dishes served steaming hot in a reasonable amount of time. The carne asada is a favorite, though none of us have ever had a bad experience with anything off of the menu. Nothing is very spicy, though, if that’s what you’re after.

The food was actually pretty good. The salsa, chips and queso we ordered were great. The margaritas are mixed perfectly. The rice is a little bland and my order came out wrong twice and our waitress was new and didnt really know the menu but I’d definitely give it another try

Mediocre and pricey … The chips are good though. I had better food at better places. The quesadilla was salty. salad is undersized

Amazing fajitas and they have a great beer selection on tap — including Grapefruit Sculpin IPA! This is a must stop if you are in the Gaithersburg area!
Delicious food! Can’t get over how good everything tasted. Menu has plenty to choose from and service was great. I recommend the beef enchiladas!

It was fair. Chips were good. The salsa was very bland and watered down. Service Marginal. So many ideas on how this business could thrive. I hope they look at how to achieve this.

This place should be called Mi Raunchy. The parking lot smells like garbage stench and puke when you’re walking up to the entrance. Food is awful, save your money and head on over to Taco Bell.

Its decent Mexican food and the salsa & chips are good. Nice folks working there. Solid selection of about six beers on tap. We stop in here sometimes after a full day of MTN biking at Schaffer Farms. You cant beat Mexican + a beer or two after several hours on the trails.

I understand why there were so few recent Unilocal reviews… while surrounding restaurants were very busy with mid-day Sunday diners, I was one of eight including a table of 5. While I considered bolting after a cool reception from the host I hung in and enjoyed the silence. Chips(very thin and extra salty!) and salsa arrived quickly as did the pleasant server, Nataly, who advised of the soup of the day and left with my Taco Salad with chicken order. I swear the salad was delivered within 2−½ minutes. While undersized for the $ 16 price tag, the salad was pretty tasty but the chicken was obviously precooked… no way it could have been freshly made based on the speed of delivery. No matter, it was warm and well seasoned. It was apparent the other few souls were pleased with the friendly servers and clean setting. So nothing spectacular but my experience was pleasant, tasty and well served. I’d return if in the area and looking for some Tex-Mex.
