So it was my first time to this location. Ive been to Iron Age in Rockville and the experience is total night and day. Iron Age had an hour to an hour and a half wait so I really wanted to satisy my craving for Korean BBQ so therefore I went to Honey Pig. Ok so service sucks very bad and I dont understand why. We sat and waited for a while and then we were finally waited on. In comparison to Iron Age this was not that great but it was ok. Dont think I will return though

I had dinner here while visiting family in Maryland. I live in Los Angeles where there is a high concentration of quality Korean restaurants and, I have to say, Honey Pig was as good or better than any place I’ve encountered back home. The banchan was delicious(I especially liked the broccoli and potato salad), I loved the doenjang jjigae, and the meat(we had beef and pork) was well seasoned and perfectly prepared at our table. We ordered a seafood pancake at the beginning of the meal and it was so good we ordered another toward the end. The servers were friendly and attentive. Overall I was very impressed with Honey Pig and look forward to returning before too long.

Average taste for Korean BBQ. People are kinda friendly. EXPENSIVE as hell. Had 3 plates of meat(beef, brisket, etc) and a plate of veggies, 50 bucks are gone for that with my stomach 70% full… would’ve gone somewhere else for a more decent meal…

I had to file a complaint to the Bad Business Bureau due to the nightmare of an experience. Even though there weren’t many customers, it took them forever to take our order. We had to ask them for water and for service. They were busy either talking with each other, on their phones, or outside smoking. When it came to getting any sort of service, we had to go find one of them to get any sort of attention. Ended up asking the busboys and cleaning staff for service. The worst part was the guy cooking our food started coughing all over us and our meal. Didn’t bother to cover his mouth or excuse himself. He just stood there coughing all over us and the table. Oh yeah, same guy watched me as I was paying the bill and commented that I didn’t give him a large enough tip and as we were leaving he smirked, glared at us, and gave us a sarcastic«Thanks for coming». I looked at my credit statement a few days later, he gave himself an unauthorised $ 20 tip. Beware of this place. Thieving criminals that work here.

We came here for a four people lunch with a baby. The staffs are friendly and serve authentic Korean dishes and play Korean MTV on the 360c TV wall. However, for all the Korean barbeque restaurants I’ve been, I feel the dishes they serve is average. Still, I will put it on my visiting list but will look around for others too! What’s more, I strongly recommend their seafood pancake! It’s very crispy and tasty.

What a great find! Dashed in for lunch special and it was plenty! Staff was friendly, helpful and the atmosphere was fun. Who doesn’t love KPop videos while stuffing your face with pork belly? I came in solo, so I think it would be more fun with friends. I’ll definitely plan to go again when I’m in the area. I really do Honey Pig!

The food was good but it’s a bit over priced. And there bubble tea is not that good. We went with 4 people and our bill was close to $ 200. We did get a bit but I don’t think it was worth $ 200 when we could have gone to Iron Age and been about half the price.

Enjoyed our first trip to Honey Pig. Cool space… not what I expected. Sort of like Texas road house meets Asian restaurant. Food and sides were delicious. Tried the bulgogi and the pork neck. Loved the bulgogi and liked the pork neck. Their house egg dish they bring to every table was terrific. The staff was attentive and our waitress was great!

There are a lot of times where I miss living in Vegas because of all the late-night dining options available. Places like Honey Pig make me nostalgic of roaming around Las Vegas’s Chinatown after a night of antics and grabbing some Korean BBQ with a group of friends to end the night on a good note — with happy bellies. I was a little shocked because out of the many KBBQ places I’ve been to, they almost always have an AYCE price. That being said, Honey Pig charges per portion of the different types of meat they offer. Because of this, it can get pretty pricy but if you’re in a group, it honestly shouldn’t be a lot. In the end, for the small portions they give you, it really isn’t a good value. The portions of meat aren’t all that great and even if you do have a smaller group, you’d probably end up choosing 3 – 4 different types of meat anyway(more or less depending on how hungry you are/how much your group can eat). Another gripe I have about this KBBQ is the fact that they cook it for you. You don’t have access to the tongs. Yeah, you can tell them how you want it done, but it’s all about personal preference. Maybe I’m just a KBBQ snob, but the ones back on the West Coast always let you handle your own food. It’s part of the experience, honestly. The meat here is pretty low quality. It’s not the best thing in the world, but it does the trick if you’re hungry… especially during late night hours. Oh, and they were advertising boba drinks, so my friend & I decided to get one. It came out with a slushie-like consistency with no boba, but instead they put popping bubbles that had a strong tartness with a VERY subtle mango flavor. Sad face. TL;DR – PROs: + Open late. + Good for groups. CONs: — Low quality, overpriced meat. — No AYCE price. — No tong access/control of food. — Fake boba. I’ll pass.

This location is way below average now. I came here on Wednesday @ 6:30pm… –banchan consisted of 4 items –had to ask for sauces that normaly come with meats –salad was skimpy(no onions) –water was never refilled –no lettuce with meats –prices went up –no complimentary egg or soup with party of 8.

One gets a lot of food at a great price! On my last visit, I had the number two and the number 20. I don’t remember the names of meats, but I know the numbers. The meals come with lots of sides.

I’ve been coming here quite often when it opened. It was fantastic when it first opened. Now not so much. The lettuce now costs $ 2.95(was free), getting the sauces ssamchan and sauce for pork belly which originally came out with the meats, is not given out anymore, until you have to ask repeatedly. At least the meats still come with the steamed egg and gratis tofu soup. When you order galbi they now cook it inside the kitchen and bring it out now, so you can get out the door faster. They don’t even tell you this. It is not open 24 hours anymore and not as crowded as before. Maybe Iron Age in Rockville improved or maybe it’s Bonchon across the parking lot has stole some of the thunder Honey Pig once had. Still a fan but a bit disappointed to see what this place has become. Hope it returns to its former glory.

It became a 3 star i was walking in a man who works there should have opened the door for me while he passed the door. That’s what u call an excellent service. So I didn’t know where to go to pick up food so I went straight. No one came to see what I needed help with. So the guy who works there came to my assistance then handed me my card and dropped it. He was like oh oh !!! Idk if the service is bad when it’s a lot of customers in there but still . Came here around 1:40 am since this place is 24 hours restaurant. It’s not anymore the time on Unilocal is wrong it’s not 3 am they close at 2. And on top of that why they couldn’t take anymore customers before 2? The Korean guy with the glasses said they are closed at 1:49 If they close at 2 am. Just bad Terrible this place doesn’t deserve my $ nor my tip won’t be coming back for a while

We went on a whim on our way to Phở, and decided to try this out instead. The lunch combo is a pretty good deal for the amount of food you get. It was fun to try the different little sides they bring out. We really enjoyed the beef bulgogi, and my boyfriend loved the spicy pork belly(I preferred the bulgogi). The appetizers we ordered(steamed dumplings, and seafood soup) were not very good at all. Aside from the food, the restaurant seems very run down, and a little dirty. The chairs are all torn up. We also had never been to a place like this, and would have like a little instruction. I tried to ask a few questions about the menu, but the waitress didn’t speak a lick of english so we had to just guess on how/what to order.

I honestly only come to Honey Pig when there’s a Groupon available. I went on a Tuesday evening and it was moderately busy, not packed but not bad for a weeknight. We immediately got seated and we ordered our usual, the beef brisket(Cha dohl) and spicy sliced pork(go Chu jang Sam gyub sahl). We asked the server to add the spicy sauce on our brisket as well! The meat comes with the kimchi and bean sprouts on the grill. And of course the side dishes, «salad» aka the lettuce soaked in sauce, egg and the soy bean soup! Overall, the food was good and the service was pretty fast! There was one particular female server that grilled the meat for us and she was super friendly and nice :) she had a pretty positive attitude that made our experience even better!

The BF and I have been to this HoneyPig for maybe 30 times or so. That’s about twice a week since they opened. He’s a meat lover and we can always find deals on Groupon. The staff have been very friendly especially during our last couple of visits. We have encountered a couple of servers who accidentally let our Bulgogi burn or cut up the meat to crumbs but it only happened when they restaurant was super busy. I love the steamed egg in the stone pot that they give you per table(on the house). The fish cake side dish is awesome as well. We usually ask for refills for that side. Our favorite is the beef and octopus, which is not technically a combo on the menu but if you ask they will combine it for you. Usually we can get an extra bowl of rice without charge. Otherwise, it’s $ 1.75. The only thing to remember is that after you visit this restaurant your clothe and your hair will smell like Korean BBQ. Lol.

You can’t beat this place for lunch. $ 10.99 for a huge portion of bulgogi, cooked at the table, combined with a bunch of small plates of kimchi-esque sides, rice, and then a side! Sides included fried or steamed dumplings, or soup… Service was fast, friendly, and the food was good. One word of caution– I got the tofu seafood soup. I couldnt taste any seafood, it was basically a red soup with something very smoky but not super hot in there… and it was a lot of tofu, so that it was kind of gelatinous. Not something I’d order again. WILLRETURN. Also, open 24 hours a day? AMAZING. Because sometimes I think I need this, at like 6am.

Service: C Food: B Environment: cold and busy Usually Honey Pig’s are amazing with fantastic service and fresh food. NOPE not this one. There was ONE server for the entire restaurant and it was 80% filled. I felt so so bad for the server. He tried to be attentive but it was almost impossible to get water or more salad. The spicy pork belly didn’t have much flavor even after he added 2 bowlfuls of sauce. The sides were weird. Broccoli in a mayonnaise type sauce? I’ll pass. Whatever happened to more traditional sides like the other locations? Maybe they ran out and used whatever they had. I will probably give this place a second chance just because they were so understaffed the night I visited.
