It was fresh and new but the service was unappealing. You’d think with so many(6, I believe) people standing around, they’d have something else to do. Well, they did – the footie/football(no, not rugby with padding) final(Real Madrid and …) and here I was reading the updates from Twitter and didn’t notice the game on the TV behind me. :-D This one has been open a month or two, I’m guessing. I remember seeing it being built back in October. Someone welcomed me and told me to sit anywhere. I usually sit at the counter, but two of them were parked there, so I sat at a booth. I ordered my typical Burrito Bowl with Tex-Mex Chili, Jalapeños, Black Olives, and Firehouse Spice Mix, and a Mountain Dew. I got everything basically, but only half of the Firehouse Spice Mix. I guess the spice shaker was too heavy. They’ve recently changed from a chipotle sauce to sriracha sauce – I guess because of all the non-Asians who have recently discovered the rooster sauce. In any case, there was no real problem with the food, thankfully. Twice, I was asked if I needed anything else, and I didn’t. When she brought the check to the table, she didn’t offer me a Mountain Dew to go. There was also no mint. Both things are typical of Gold Star Chili. I guess with two customers in the place and another in the drive-thru, they were too busy to remember.
