St David’s Rehabilitation – Lake Aire

I had two visits, the first was a 5 min evaluation in which I was given one exercise to do. I went back for a second visit and was told to continue the same 1 exercise. Complete waste of time. Both times I went I was charged $ 110. 1 year later I get a bill from a collections agency saying the total for my visits is $ 525 and that I owed another $ 305. Look elsewhere for help.

My mother-​in-​law is in there now. She was there about 5 years ago.
They have improved in every respect. She and we are very satisfied with the staff and the facility which is pretty much brand new. The nurses and assistants have all been genuinely friendly and helpful. The PT staff have been good. How relieved we are that this place, as far as our experience goes, is indeed very good! Good job, St. David’s — keep it up!

My mom was supposed to be in for 5 nights, but was only in one b/​c of the following.. .
Nurse comes in her room at 4 in the morning to take her temp. He took it without putting a cover on the thermometer. He then realized it after he couldn’t get the cover off and it was in his other hand, took it out of her mouth, took it to her bathroom sink and washed it. He came back, put the cover on and retook it. My mom says, «You do you know you just took my temp.» He says, «I did? Thanks for telling me.»
So mom tells another nurse what happened, that he didn’t use a cover and just washed it in the sink, b/​c it freaked her out to think how many people he could have done that to, not to mention how DISGUSTING that is being in a hospital. The lady left, came back and told her he said that didn’t happen. He totally lied. Liar. She said, «Well, it did happen, b/​c I am awake and I watched it happen.»
In the morning she filed a complaint and checked out. There was only one lady who acted like it was a big deal.
GROSS!
