Usually a Monday favorite, Michelle’s usually has incredible BBQ ribs on the lunch buffet. The last few visits have been rather disappointing. The ribs have been over-cooked, leaving the majority inedible. The service, while usually very kind and ever present(although a bit too touchy) was nonexistent on my last visit. It’s hard to judge service at a buffet where you get your own food; however, this particular visit, I also cleared my own dirty plates from the table. The best(only) thing my waitress did for me? Bring a pitcher of tea to the table so I could also refill my own cup. I’m giving 3 stars for Days of Ribs Past, but the present and future of Michelle’s of Georgetown looks bleak indeed.

We stop here on the way to the beach. It’s like a cafeteria really. Lots of locals eat here. It is a buffet. Price includes drink and desert bar too. Down home good country food. You can’t go wrong and much better, if you are traveling, than fast food.

This was one of the best«country» or «home» style buffets my wife and I have gone to in years. We had just finished hiking Providence Canyon State Park and got there 30 minutes before lunch closing time but the food still tasted fresh and the waitresses were prompt with the tea and friendly conversation. The fried pork chops and chicken were crisp on the outside and juicy inside with just a hint of garlic or onion in the crust. The macaroni and cheese was second only to my homemade. The chess pie and the oatmeal pie were very good as was the banana pudding(with real cooked meringue topping). We enjoyed it so much we drove back there for breakfast the next morning. It was also good as was the service. We will definitely go back when we are in that area.
