***I’m really conflicted, here… I LOVETHISPLACE… read on…*** My wife and I have considered this place our«First Choice» for Mexican Food for years now. We like the Family Run Environment, the Menu Choices, the Service and the Quality of Food and Preparation as-well-as the convenience for us since we live close by. Now here is the PROBLEM:… ***For the third time ***(we just were there last week) when we opened the front door to enter, I was immediately«overwhelmed» by chemical cleaning odors just prior to seating. Upon noticing this, I looked to the«Right Wing»…wet floors were present and wet floor markers were present; I then looked to the«Left Wing»…wet floors were present and wet floor markers were present as well. The odor was some form of floor chemical solution that would OVERWELM any Tastebud. And, this was at «Lunch Time». Please, Please PLEASE — NOCHEMICALCLEANINGDURINGNORMALBUSINESSHOURS! We had to Leave Prior to being seated, and UNFORTUNATELY, another eating establishment that served«Chemical Free» poor quality Mexican food got our business! ************************************************************************************************ To the Management: Please make the necessary adjustments to prevent this from reoccurrence! All parties would be happy for this minimal effort and then, and only then, WE will Gladly return!!! ************************************************************************************************ Best Wishes, Eric

We have eaten in the restaurant about five times. Great fast family atmosphere and service. Prices are very reasonable. We have eaten take out here about 20 times over the past couple of years. Breakfast burritos are huge! Not like the B-fast Tacos around town. Food is yummy and consistently delicious.

We’ve been here once(just recently moved to Georgetown). My husband and I weren’t really big fans of the salsa… the queso was pretty plain; nothing bad, just nothing special. We got beef fajitas for two; the fajitas were pretty good, but again, nothing spectacular. The service was good; our waitress was friendly and attentive. One thing that turned us off was the large number of flies that kept buzzing our heads and food. We were constantly having to swat them away from our food, which was extremely annoying.

We needed a backup Mexican place in the hood after La Playa relocated. So glad La Playa left, otherwise, we’d never have known the amazing food at Mariachi’s. It looks like a hole in the wall from the outside that includes lousy parking. Good news, more parking in the back. I’d give them five stars, but we’ve had some consistency issues when ordering takeaway food from them. Such as, sometimes chips and salsa are included. Sometimes they cost extra. They explained it’s because you need to order a certain amount of «plates, not al a carte items.» This made no sense since the first time we got three plates and an al a carte burrito that also included chips and salsa. Also, all three of my burritos have tasted different. Good, just different. Maybe there are different cooks depending on the night? The first time I ordered a beef and bean burrito they took it a little too literally because my burrito included just one lonely bean. Next time I will order a beef and beans burrito. The food is great. The green salsa that they have is ah-mazing but you’ll have to ask for it specifically. Double check your orders because they’ve messed up almost all of our to go orders… That’s why only three stars. The queso is nothing special. Kids eat free on Tuesdays.

My review of this restaurant can honestly only be directed at the to-go/pick-up section. My cumulative time spent in the restaurant is about three minutes total. Everyone in there looked like they were having a good time, but I’m a man about town and had to skedaddle. You know how it is. With that said, the fajitas to-go for 15 folks was awesome. We had a combo of beef, chicken and shrimp. Really good! Some of the nice ladies even carried it to my old wagon because I couldn’t carry a giant steaming metal tray of meats and onions, a cold tray of veggies for the tacos, a bag of «drunk» beans, and a bunch of torts. It would’ve scalded my hands, you see? Too much to carry at one time, that’s why they helped. Plus my dexterity has gone caput and I probably would’ve dropped it in the parking lot. What a hell of a mess that would be. All that to say I’ll stop in for a sit down next time I pass. Wonder if they sell beer?

First time to try this place this morning. The menu is well balanced and extensive for breakfast. I’m in LOVE with their 3egg omelet with sausage. It was phenomenal. I may have to put this place in my kerbey lane taco shack rotation

Discovered this place a couple of months ago and have been back several times for the breakfast burritos which are very good. A few weeks ago I noticed that I was being overcharged for the burritos by 50 cents apiece. I brought it to the cashier’s attention and she stated that the main menu as well as the carryout menu were both wrong in their pricing. I let it slide thinking it was a possibility. Today I went back to order again and both menus still had the same lower price. I asked to speak to the manager who stated he was too busy to talk to me. 50 cents isn’t a lot to contest, however, it does begin to add up when several burritos are ordered at a time which has been my usual practice. Hopefully this review will prompt the ownership to rectify the problem at which time I will update this review. Check out the photo of the business as well as the current receipt.

I just moved to Georgetown about a month ago. Gary and I ducked in here our first week for a quick bite. Very excited how good the food was. Salsa had just the right amount of heat for me. They have a much spicier green sauce that you have to ask for. Very spicy but oh sooo good. We’re been back several time since and for now our go too place for tex-mex! The wait staff have always been pleasant, good food comes out of kitchen in a reasonable. Darn now I’m hungry and may go back very soon!

This place is okay, I guess. I’m giving it a 3 star rating because I’m from El Paso, and I’m used to authentic Mexican food being along the border. I think once you get deep into Texas, that authenticity goes away and they cater to lots of White folks; thus the red and green salsa not being spicy. I had the barbecue plate, in El Paso and Northern Mexico we call that barbacoa. It was delicious, not too greasy, it came with eggs, hash browns that resemble those from McDonald’s, and beans that seemed canned, not fresh made. My dad had the menudo, which was odd. Odd because they give you corn tortillas, jalapeños, cilantro, and onion. I guess that’s how they serve it down in South Mexico and Jalisco? In El Paso, Chihuahua, and Durango, menudo is served with onion if you want, oregano, no jalapeño or cilantro, and pan francesito! I still don’t understand the concept of Migas? I guess it’s a Central Texas, Tex-Mex invention; anyways it didn’t look appetizing. You will just have to come check this place out and you be the judge!

This is where the Mexicans get Mexican food. If you don’t know the difference between Mexican and Tex-Mex, than you might like Dos Salsas better to go get some Gringo Mexican food. But … If you know your Mexican food and you want it authentic, this is where you go. If you are feeling sick and are too sick or too lazy to make it, they have a very nice Caldo De Pollo! I order it when I am under the weather!

This will always be special since it is the place that I met my BF’s grandmother and we had lunch one afternoon with him and his family. It was a great spot for Tex Mex and his Grandma said she and his aunt came here alot and loved it. Their food was good and it was nice to have spent the time with her here since she has passed in the meantime. I will come back here with my BF and his family again one day I’m sure. We had a great time and the food was good!

I love this place for breakfast and lunch. Get them to add cheese to any of the egg dishes, use the cold salsa(not the warm or the Ranchero), and you’ll be golden. They grill broccoli as a side, and that is awesome, too. The lighting sucks for dinner, though. It’s fluorescent, which you don’t really notice during the day because it has big windows. At night, though, there’s no ambiance. Which is too bad, because I’d rather have the Mariachis food than La Playa’s, but La Playa has a much better evening atmosphere. The good news is that the same folks have opened Tequila Bar and Grill in RR, and it’s comfortable and pleasant, while having the same great food. But I live in GT, so to Mariachi I will continue to go. A lot!

This is now hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in Georgetown, everything I have tried here has ben excellent(Carne Asada, Mini Flaquitos, and most recently the Torta Cubana). That sandwich is a life changer, it’s that good. Now the most amazing part about this place, you can order a side of nopalitos sautéed with onions and tomatoes. That’s cactus if you never had it before, and if you’ve never had cactus before you haven’t fully experienced life. Also the food comes out pretty quick and the servers are friendly. Six out of five stars for this place. One last thing, do not for the love of all that is holy, eat the pepper that comes with the Flaquitos all at once. I couldn’t feel my face for 5 minutes and it took two glasses of water to quench the fire to a tolerable level.

My family loves this restaurant. We eat here at least once a week. The food is good the warm salsa is GREAT and the kids love the crane game which is very«loose». Ha! The only thing they could improve on is getting the check to us sooner, but once you’re a regular you figure out that if you just walk up to the register when you’re ready to leave, they’ll find your ticket and you can pay at the register. Their breakfast tacos are the best and inexpensive. Like the previous reviewer, you know it’s good Mexican food when you see lots of Hispanics eating there!

Just moved to town and our son wanted Mexican food, tried this place. Food was very average. I returned my plate because it was covered in grease and I knew there was no way I was going to touch it. The waitress was super sweet. She suggested I order the cheese quesadillas instead. I did. It was huge. Still average. We have had better luck picking up breakfast tacos before church on Sunday morns. Until this morning. Our son came home from college for a surprise visit so we woke up this morn before him to go get coffees and tacos. We just get home(live 20 mins from restaurant) and I unloaded tacos from bag. no salsa. None, Nodda, zip, zero! Who eats breakfast tacos without salsa… So I tried calling 3 times. No answer, did they close up shop? Finally got a hold of a girl to ask if they stopped putting salsa in bags with tacos or do we have to request it… She asked me to come back… Negative… Waste of 8 tacos… Unless our son will use tobacco they’re going in trash. Won’t be back… I’m grumpy. Need more coffee…

A perfectly ordinary Tex-Mex place like so many others. One thing worth noting: They have two salsas, one of which is served warm. I actually thought it had a better flavor than the«normal» salsa, although I’m kind of ambivalent about warm salsa in general. The regular salsa tasted«off» to me somehow. It is very smooth, with no distinct tomato product visible like a sauce. The flavor hinted like it had vinegar, sort of like a thicker version of Tapatio hot sauce. I can’t say I’m a fan. The food was OK, nothing good, nothing bad.
