Hands down, this is the best gun shop you’ll ever go to. I know next to nothing about guns, but Brandan and his crew went out of their way to be super friendly and patient and bring me up to speed. The store has a huge inventory and plenty of accessories, but the customer service really makes this place stand apart from the rest. Everyone in the shop has an extremely thorough knowledge of their merchandise and firearm safety, and on top of that, they were even kind enough to give me and my friends pointers on how to shoot safely! Highly, highly recommend.

I’ve never had such a great experience at a gun shop. These guys really know what they’re talking about and are the friendliest gun shop owners I would ever have imagined. They’re also cool as hell and are total badasses. They were so generous with their time and patience. As someone who is new to guns, I felt very comfortable with them. They’re not the type to judge you for not knowing a lot about firearms but rather the type to educate and ensure proper gun safety, very thoroughly. Hiiiiiighly recommended!

This gun store has a fantastic selection. Whereas many gun stores in the area have very limited selection right now this store had lots of options. In addition, they were very patient with my multitude of questions and I left very happy with an HK. They were extremely helpful. I highly suggest this store.

I came in yesterday and bought a Sig P238 desert. Because I was prior military with secret clearance I could not get same day approval. Call back the next day to see if it got approved as this is a gift for my wife for Christmas. They told me it could take up to 5 days which would put it past Christmas so I asked if my father can come in to fill out a form for approval instead. I understand if you can’t, so a simple word of no that is not the law. Instead I got about 20 no’s in a row with a tone of a very rude and sarcastic response. A simple no and reason would have been fine and to continue to wait for this process to finish. Instead I got rude and sarcastic/​angry behavior on the phone (as in, I’m trying to break the law and pull a fast one). Look, I’m a 10 year military police officer veteran and in no way trying to break a law. I have never sold guns for a living either, so talking to me (a client) as if I should have known better by scolding me isn’t the way a customer support call should have gone. I will never be doing business with GTX guns again. As well as any family or friends of mine in Georgetown.

Made my first purchase at GTXGuns today and was very impressed. I called ahead of time to ensure they had the firearm I was looking for. When I arrived, the shop was very nice and clean. I inspected the gun I wanted and we proceeded to purchase. The price was better than anywhere else in Austin and the service was fantastic. They had a nice selection of ammo and accessories as well. I would highly recommend.

Great quality and service, this review is long over due but I picked up a ¹⁰⁄₂₂ from here back in June and it was a fun experience. I even brought my 4 year old with me and they were really kid friendly. The owner was the man I was speaking with and he seemed very up to date on everything in his place. When purchasing the ruger I had gotten a scope as well that they mounted for no extra charge and a lifetime warrenty, can’t beat that! Great overall experience and my new go to spot for purchases.

Thanks for your response… To further clarify, I purchased a drop in 3.5lb connector and a titanium plunger, all of which were not installed properly by your gunsmith… The experience was real, my name on this account is real and not an alias and furthermore the original review is real… your tone of sarcasm is the reason I didn’t bother to bring the weapon back to your store… thank you for your time sir.

I went here to buy Christmas gifts for a family member and the guys here were so helpful. We’ve been back several times and they have been so helpful each time. I will definitely be a long term customer and recommend this place to everyone.

I recently stopped in to check out the new shop in town. Very organized, great selection they even carry .300 BLK ammo! Only one employee was on duty, but he was knowledgeable and very courteous. Though I’m not currently in the market for a new firearm, I will be shopping here when I am. FFL transfer fees are extremely reasonable as well, but I will do my best to support local business. What put this to the 5 star review was the hilarious response to the Todd H. review. Welcome to the neighborhood and I look forward to giving you my business.

Everything you could want in a local gun store. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent selection of firearms in stock, and good prices. I came in looking for a hard to find rifle, and they have been very helpful in helping me find one.

Guns and ammo at a good price with excellent service. Couldn’t ask for more.

First visit — bought a new firearm and I couldn’t be more pleased with this shop. The guys bent over backwards to explain everything, answered all of my idiotic questions and gave me great service.
I’ll return for sure.
