Went to visit Golden Chick again. This visit was better than the last. The staff was very courteous. The manager held the front door for a senior that was disabled.
The food was good on this visit. The fries were hot and delicious. The chicken tenders were between luke warm and hot. The taste was still very good. The bread this time was so so.
I will continue to eat at this location. By the way, they have free ice cream cones for dine in customers only.

Love this place. Hubby and I go about once a week. I love how the chicken is so crispy and juicy and not too greasy. Well, it IS fried chicken so it is a little greasy. I like to get mine spicy. Not sure what the seasoning is, but it is so much the yum. Not a huge fan of the dinner rolls, but hubby absolutely loves them. This place probably has some one the best sweet tea in town., and I LOVE the crushed ice. It is nice to eat at a place that does not over salt the food.

I’ve eaten here a few times, and while I maintain that most fast-food chicken joints are pretty much indistinguishable, this chicken is actually not bad. I got a breast and a thigh, and they were both juicy, not (too) greasy, and flavorful. For sides, I had a so-so cole slaw (sorry, GC – KFC’s got your slaw beat); and hot, gooey, and utterly flavorless mac & cheese.
I must give kudos to the counter person. She was very polite and friendly, and acted like her very life depended on making us happy. I wish the food were a little better, but I know I’ll be back. This is in the new Golden Radius of a mile from Casa Shoehead. So fret not, Golden Chick– I’m not in love with you, but i’m not breaking up with you either.
