The NEW Georgetown Saloon is a far cry from the former iteration. The food is very good, the service is attentive and friendly and there is live music at least 4 days of the week. Had dinner last night(Valentine’s Day) and my wife had Rack of Lamb which was very good. Generally the food is pub food and nicely done but they are capable of much more. When you read the negative reviews note the dates, most are from the past ownership. They have been reopened since November and it only gets better. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. They seem committed to bringing the original Georgetown Saloon vibe back to it’s former glory.

I am so excited that the new Georgetown Saloon has reopened. With some terrible experiences with the previous owners, I had low expectations when I went for dinner last night, but was pleasantly surprised by the food, service and most importantly, the music. I practically grew up at the Saloon and it’s not only a local landmark, but a national one(in my opinion!) My new stepdad said he used to come from NYC to check out the bands 40 years ago. The only bad part was that the Saloon was so empty! That place should be packed! The musicians last night were fantastic and for a moment I felt like I was transported to Nashville. Open mike nights are Tuesday and Thursday with live music on the weekends. As a community, let’s support the Saloon and bring it back to its former glory. It has huge potential and I am so thankful to the new ownership for taking this on!

Yes I know… But’s it’s not the old Saloon! Went there last night. It’s clean and easy going atmosphere is a great switch from noisy crowded restaurant. The food is really good! Best burger ever!!! and extremely well price for what you get. Yeah! for a real refresh on the Saloon!

Went on a Sunday evening with my family — place was very clean but completely empty which is strange for Sunday evening. Ordered the buffalo wings to start which were good until I found a hair in them, completely unacceptable, I worked in a kitchen and it’s ridiculous that a hair got in the food, all kitchen staff should wear hats or nets. Then ordered the hacienda burger which was decent. Our server was very nice but the service was slow. The place and décor is a big improvement from the old saloon, but with the place being so empty I can’t see myself returning considering the other options in the area. Would recommend this place for families with young children for dinner. Really doesn’t appeal to people like myself in mid 20’s. Will stick to the Lumberyard or Little Pub.

Went here for lunch, great service and food. One of the few places in the Redding area that actually had a vegetarian option(that was not tasteless either)! Onion rings are a must.

They are still getting their sea legs, but we will try again. Good was ok. Band was food — service was all over the place.

Came in for lunch to see what the new place was like. It is much nicer inside and out than before. Bar was friendly and the menu had a good selection. I had the hacienda burger which was juicy and spicy. I like the rye bread on the burger. Good addition to the local restaurant scene.

The new and highly improved saloon looks great! Prime rib sandwich was spectacular, and the bartender was fun. Would come again.

Steak dinner and Key Lime pie were flawless. Staff was friendly — no issues. Wine from local provider very satisfying. Renovation warm, clean and keeps the feel of what people love about the Saloon — wood paneling, vintage concert posters, separate bar room and live music. No visible kinks for a place that just opened. Great space to have dinner with the family, including kids.

Lunch today at newly renovated Saloon. Décor is huge improvement. Very clean n tables are not crowded. I had hamburger which came with fries or salad. Hamburger was scrumptious, done to perfection and I could barely finish it. My niece had burger also but with onion rings. They were crispy on outside and onion melted in your mouth. I am looking forward to going back for dinner. I heard from a relative who was there last week that the meatloaf is the best comfort food he’s ever had.

2nd visit to new Saloon.6:30 to 7:30 Sat the place was EMPTY, bar and dinning room which struck me as odd. Given their neighbors Wiremill and Little Pub were slammed(I drove by one and parked next to the other). Place is clean reno looks great. Food is good too. Both visits had little staff issues. Time 1 the suntan necklace wearing waiter had a fit about where 1 of the 3 of us sat at the bar for dinner insisted we move with our setups and apps to a corner hightop. Not our problem if the bar is now too wide for him we didnt build it. Time 2 Bartender/mgr got way too agro and defensive about her mediocre at best beer list and why she has no room for«anything good like NEBCO or Maine Beer». REALLYWHAT?!, So you absolutely have to have the same tap line up as Applebees and Outback? Is this to pack in the dads that come in for dinner with their kids? Based on Sat that strategy aint workin. Cant you atleast have a better bottle and can lineup. Time 3. Ordered a Jamaican Coffee at the bar at 10pm and Inked Up Bartender gave me massive attitude like I ordered a Shirley Temple with extra cherries. Dude I had 4 beers and two bourbons with my nachos at your bar and meal at Wiremill. I came back to see if people came for the music and wanted coffee, lighten up. Not sure what the problem is with this place exactly, maybe it’s the shitty vibe.

Stopped by last night with my husband for drinks and to review the new menu. The atmosphere was nice, the menu looked good, and the food looked good coming out of the kitchen. The only problem was that all the wines we tried off the wine list stunk. After sampling several of them, we couldn’t find a decent one in the whole lot. It also only featured white and red wines, with no roses. I’ll probably stop back in with the kids at some point to try the food, but if they don’t improve the wine list, I’ll be more inclined to head to Little Pub which has the same kind of food, and good wines. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place for a ladies night out, or to anyone who likes a good glass of wine with their meal. Got a note from the manager complaining about my review. He stated they had just as many wines as Little Pub, etc. The problem isn’t the number of wines, it’s that the wines they have are not very good. Also, Little Pub has wine specials, and all summer long I was able to order Rose. Georgetown Saloon may have a larger wine list, but Little Pub’s wines are better value for the money, and frankly just taste better.

This was so worth waiting for… the new Saloon is comfortable and relaxing inside, with a welcoming staff and a great menu. Everything we ordered was delicious, nicely presented, and served with a smile. The bar is well appointed and they offer a nice selection of tap beers. Looking forward to going again for some live music!

Stooped into the newly renovated saloon for the first time, place looks amazing! Looking forward to the live music on weekends and trying everything on the menu. Word to the wise, the artichoke crab dip and chicken churrasco was out of this world. Solid beer selection and friendly service, felt right at home. I finally understand why everyone loved this place years ago. Light years ahead of where it was this time last year.
