Georgetown Diesel Transmission and Automotive

Georgetown Diesel is a top notch repair shop. They installed a new computer chip and exhaust system to my 2005 GMC 2500. I pull a large 5^th wheel RV around the country. They also rebuilt my transmission with all new heavy duty parts, much better parts than original. I can now pull my RV easily up mountains and across the US.
They are very knowledgeable about what they do and would recommend them for all kinds of auto repair.
I now have a 10 year old truck that runs like new and I didn’t have to go buy a new high dollar truck. They are friendly and experienced mechanics.

Just had my first experience with Georgetown Diesel for squeaky brakes & an estimate for my 67,500 mile maintenance. Alex & Chris were awesome! As a female, I’m use to mechanics trying to sell me services and repairs that aren’t necessary. So it was refreshing to deal with an honest business that only suggested the repairs/​maintenance that were needed. Alex repaired my 2009 Ford F-​250 6.4. Delete kit and programmer. Increased fuel mileage 10 miles per gallon. The staff are great, easy to deal with, and Alex always responded to my calls or texts even on the weekends.

I needed an injection pump installed, and wasn’t too keen on doing it myself. My buddy recommended Georgetown Diesel as he’d heard good things and was planning on having them do some tranny work.
I spoke with Alex and he gave me a quote over the phone. Dropped the truck and pump off in the morning, and got it back in the afternoon. Cole did a great job. Will definitely go back in the future, even though they are 30 miles from me.

The guys at Georgetown Diesel know their stuff and are meticulous about servicing your vehicle as if it were their own. They do things the right way… very thorough and honest guys.
I don’t have a Diesel currently but stopped in to upgrade the gears (front/​rear) in my Jeep Wrangler to run larger wheels and tires. Not many shops are able to take on this type of job and those that do are so expensive, it discourages you from getting the work done.
The owner, Alex, called several times before they began work to discuss options and my preferences for the project. They kept in touch as they found other items that needed service made sense to service while the drivetrain was disassembled.
He and their Master Mechanic, Dennis, stayed late to work on my Jeep and helped sort out the suspension, brakes, and several other items that needed attention. They even accommodated my schedule and opened the shop on Saturday for pick up.
I called every Jeep specialty company in Austin to get this work done and was quoted 1 – 2 weeks to get it in the shop and another week to get the work done.
