Georgetown Candlepin Bowling Lanes

I could go on for a long time about this place. I will start with when you turn down that little street, take an immediate left and you will see the bowling alley right on the right. You need to call ahead, because they might not be open. You might be overwhelmed when you walk in, because this place is kind of messy. It doesn’t phase me at all, I thought it made it cooler and more interesting, but my boyfriend was like UGH.
$ 4.50 a string is kind of expensive to me, but I felt like I needed to bowl here. I know he rents out the alley for parties, but I don’t know the pricing on that. If I lived closer I would use any excuse possible to have a party here.
The owner was so knowledgeable and can help you with whatever, bowling lessons or buying new/​used bowling balls. He was SUPER friendly to us and other reviews I saw online said otherwise. Usually candlepin alleys are staffed by the rudest people, but this was so far from that. He offered to put music on for us, but the sound of the pins was great here so we opted out. The bathroom was also nice/​clean.
There are 6 lanes here and we ended up using the house balls. They glided so fast down the alley I felt like I was given super powers. I bowled a pretty good game here and I can’t wait to come back.
There is also a glass bottle soda machine!!!
If I could give 4.5 stars I would probably do that, but I just felt like it was a little pricy to get all 5.
