All I can say is stay away from The Fifth Fuel!
I recently purchased a new Gemcraft built home in Maryland. The Fifth Fuel was contracted to perform the Energy Star testing on my home. During the test, I was told by representatives of The Fifth Fuel that one of the two tests failed, and they would need to return with the AC/​Heating subcontractor to resolve the failed test.
I am now over 4 months past settlement and I receive a basic certificate in my door stating my home is a «Certified Energy Efficient Home.» No results on the passed/​failed test. No revisit to my home to make further adjustments.
The Gemcraft Homes project manager visited and could feel air leaking all over my two HVAC units. He removed all of the taping and reapplied it to make the units more efficient. I have made several calls to The Fifth Fuel and they will not release any results because «I am not their customer, Gemcraft Homes is their customer.»
Take my advice, stay away…
