It had been years since I went here, tagging along with my husband. This place has been in business for years. The owner recently passed away and the place is on the market to be sold. The for sale sign indicates that there are 7 ponds on the property, but I have only noticed 4.
The current rate is $ 12 for 10 hours of fishing. They sell the bait, drinks and snacks there too. They sporadically stock the ponds with cat fish. I don’t think that they have any other type of fish.
They also allow you to pitch a tent for free while you’re fishing. You can’t rent a camp spot at a camp ground for that price!
Why Porta potties when they have a store, why not have an indoor bathroom?! Ok, I’ll admit, I am a bathroom snob.
Another strange thing… the trash barrel outside was full so I threw my bag of trash away inside, then I went back inside, after using the porta potty (yes, I took the plunge) the cashier was scavenging through my trash… weird!
