This establishment is now closed. I liked the appetizers and wine choices along with swanky music and a cool setting but they closed their doors in June 2012.

I have been here 4 or 5 times and have had an excellent lunch each time. The Potachos(home made potato chips with white cheese/jalapeño over the top) are available with chicken or steak for an extra charge. Great either way. Burgers are ground Angus chuck and are superb. I am always there at lunch, but many evenings they have live music. The location is considered inconvenient by Georgetown standards(on the west side of the square, but parking is abundant in the evening). Sparse crowds are the result of food spots in G’town being slow to catch on. If they can hang on, I think they will do well. By they way, there is a chocolatier two doors down. Also, fabulous fudge.

Just found out yesterday that this place existed(old Three Legged Willie’s). Had to come check it out and was thoroughly impressed with both the food and service! I would definitely recommend as both a bar and restaurant hot spot on the square! Had both appetizers and a meal and all four of us agreed the food was awesome! Definitely worth it and encourage people to check it out!!!

3 Legged Willies has now become 50⁄50. We went on a Thursday night and and it was very empty… I guess I was expecting a few more people that just one table occupied by a party of 3 but oh well, that’s Gtown for you. I wasn’t complaining though because at least it was an opporturnity to check out the restaurant itself without the distractions of a crowd. The restaurant is sleek and clean and has vibrant wall with posters of what look like jazz legends. The bar only serves beer and wine(no hard liquor hence no real martinis, margaritas, mai tais, etc) which knocks off a star definitely. I didn’t much care for the bar«Awning» of three squares with sillouhettes of stars, instruments, etc… it looked very toddlerish and should be in toyland and takes the mature charm out of the restaurant. They do have a second floor in back, and a second floor above the entrance for bands which they said usually play on the weekend. I asked the owner who was there that night what 50⁄50 meant and it was another way of saying they were a «fusion» place with their food having a 50⁄50 quality to it(I’m guessing 50% American/50%Latin type flavors). For appetizers we got the cheeseburger cheese dip with restaurant made chips, and these bacon wrapped«hot kisses»…both were AWESOME and quite impressive. They don’t have much of a variety for dinner that included chicken, steak, fried fish, as well as a selection of burgers and sandwiches. I got the 50⁄50 chicken with salad and onion rings, my partner got the fish with a potato casserrolle… entrees were good but nothing to be dazzled and impressed of. I really think what made this place were the appetizers so despite the lack of quality and creativity with their entrees, I’ll give them a high score for their food and will definitely try out their burgers/sandwiches in the future. Service was exellent and had a young guy named Erick from Round Rock. He was a bit toooo service-oriented asking if we wanted anything else every 5 minutes… normally this woud annoy the hell out of me but he was easy on the eyes so I didn’t really care that night. For dessert, I had a nice glass of Stella which was a nice ending to the dinner. Will definitely come back on a much busier night to see how well they handle a crowd and to assess the ambience when they add people and music together. But on this quiet evening, we had a lovely dinner, nice encounters with our waiter and the owner without much complaints. Hopefully this restaurant survives the Gtown curse.

I rarely write reviews about an on premise location, but I could not hold back on this hot restaurant, First off I just happened to walk in and was blown away by the ambiance and the feel of the venue. So my wife and I walked in and sat down to dine. The waitress was super friendly, she shared with us their special of the night/week. I was interested in looking at their wine list. Was impressed with the selection. The waitress shared information about the wines they were featuring for the night. Her selection was right on for my wife and I. So we look at the food menu, our waitress encourages us to try their special. We took her on and once again she was on her game. We ordered the the steak she suggested, it came with grilled sauteed asparagus that was just perfect with seasoning and complimented the steak very well. My wife loved their mashed potatoes. I really liked them too! I wont spoil it for anyone who will be going but you have to try them. There was live music on top of a balcony, My wife thought that was romantic. I see this place as a little mirage in the heart of georgetown square. I will be bringing some colleagues and friends by soon. This would make a great place to entertain as well as for business lunches. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you are a beer drinker they have some pretty cool little micro bewery beers. their prices were fair and I thought they were generous with the food portions. I will definitely make this my watering hole when I go visit the square in georgetown, texas!

Spent my Valentine’s Day evening at 50⁄50 in Georgetown. What a cool little place! Loved the ambiance, the music AND the food. My friends and I started with the«Potachos», a creative twist to the standard«Nachos». They use Kettle Chips instead of tortilla chips, topped with really good white queso. We also sampled the mini-corn dogs. Warning, they’re a good size and the order of six is almost a meal in itself! We stayed around to hear the music(great jazz & blues band) and later in the evening I ordered the G-town burger. It was cooked to perfection. My favorite of the night however, was their CHERRYONTOP white wine. OMG! It’s a little sweet, but it took the place of my having those Fried Oreos my friends were raving about. The owner said CHERRYONTOP isn’t available in retail locations so I guess I will just have to make that drive from Austin back to Georgetown! :) And speaking of the staff, our waitress was pleasant, attentive and very helpful when it came to ordering. The owner Joey was there and took the time to come by our table, made menu suggestions and invited us back. Overall it was a very nice evening in a great new place. We’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant should be given a chance, but they do have a ways to go. My wife and I went there for lunch yesterday. We’re retired, so we had time. It took over 40 minutes to get our food, a little too slow if your working and have an hour for lunch. The place wasn’t totally full, so hopefully that’s just some growing pains. As we came in we saw a couple of burgers being delivered, they looked good, so we ordered them. When we finally got them, our fries were cold, we’re they sitting in the back waiting to be delivered? The burger itself wasn’t bad. However, they’ve got it on an oversized roll, so there’s a lot of bread for the meat. Looks good, but that may be a taste thing. The burger comes with onions, kind of diced, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. In, I guess, some type of signature move, they slice the pickles fairly thick and at different thicknesses. Makes it a little difficult to hold the burger together while you eat it. The whole time we were there they had a carpenter working on the second floor balcony area. Looks like they might be putting in some means of getting natural light up there, a good idea. We were there between noon and one and he was hammering away the whole time. Not an appealing ambiance, but that will pass. The owner was out front practically the whole time we were there, working with some photographer who was taking pictures of the 50⁄50 sign over the bar. It would have been a nice touch, since apparently they couldn’t stop the hammering at the noon hour, if he’d have stopped at his customers tables to apologize for the noise. We’ll wait a while, hopefully they’ll get the bugs worked out, and give it one more try.
