A kind man who really cares about his patients.

Dr. Severino is one of the best doctors I’ve ever dealt with. And since I have both heart disease and cancer, I’ve dealt with a lot of them. He put a stent in my right coronary artery and probably saved my life at that time. That was in 2000.
I had to have cancer surgery in 2008 and Dr. Severino checked me out for coronary clearance prior to surgery. He recognized that I had another problem with my heart that needed to be taken care of first. He referred me to have robotic bypass surgery on two more arteries. The surgeon said that if I’d had the cancer surgery without taking care of the heart first, I never would have survived. So he saved my life a second time.
And on top of all that, he’s a caring, compassionate person. When I had the stent put in, I felt sure I could feel it in my chest. He took the time to show me a stent, explain how it worked, and gave me a book called ‘Heart & Soul’ which explained the interaction between the body and your emotions. I never had another doctor go those extra steps to help me heal, and heal in more than just my body.
He was also my Mom’s cardiologist and dealt with her just as kindly and respectfully as with me. He’s a GREAT doctor and I recommend him to anyone.
